Are there any fringe communities left?
« on: November 07, 2014, 10:49:27 am »
The only ones left seem to be this barren wasteland here, the other totse refugee camp shitholes and the inactive digital precursor site (E&W forum refugees).

bombshock, rorta, e&w/rogue science, shadowrx, at0u, ... they are all gone.

It's kind of sad how the internet changed in the last few years. it's like the whole net got pussified into one huge politically correct shithole that's only about specialized bullshit, media trivia and social networking.

I kind of miss the internet of the old days...

Lol, I missed this thread. Would have posted here instead of starting my own.

There are none left, as far as I can tell. Closest thing to an active community would probably be IntelExchange in onionland. Might be a few other hidden services worth checking out, I dunno. Mostly dropped out of the Tor scene due to LE infiltration.

The community I miss most is definitely E&W, even more so than TOTSE. Some seriously brilliant, diabolical and resourceful people on there. And it was always fun watching k3wls get HED from NBK. Shame about what happened to him. His arrest and prosecution is probably why mega decided to shut the site down for good.

I contend that 2006 was the last great year of the net, and 2008 was the last good one.
