Took 4 years of machine shop in highschool. Made shit tons of cool pipes on the lathe. Got sick from many of them, especially the aluminum ones. You have to use the right metal for pipes or you end up with that shit in your lungs and blood system.

I find the brass ones work very well, but they get really, really hot fast. Gotta have the right fittings for it. Wood, hard plastics, etc.
