Barney says it's better to use RBF and oil or sand bath instead. Easier temperature control.

I think I read something at wetdreams about using wet sand for temp control.

sand is sufficient. If you make it wet sand (water plus sand), the boiling point will only stay at 100 degree Celsius.

I reckon sand is better than oil. Check the different 'smoking point' of different oil.

sand is the best =)
