TV dinners

ITT: tv dinners, good and bad, and their impact on civilization.

I will start:  I just heated up a 'marie calender' teriyaki chicken dinner, and I noticed that there is an extra 'l' in calender, like 'callender'.  It was not like this 6 months ago.  Did something change, or am I just really high?

I never really eat a full TV dinner....as in a dinner with 2 or 3 food groups on the side,    never really liked em.     most frozen stuff I buy to eat later when im short on time/items are chicken/beef pies,  mac and cheese etc.   all oven cooked of course.

I have had so few tv dinners in my life that I consider them a 'treat' even though most of them are just terrible in taste, texture, appearance, everything.  Sort of like how people like certain drugs even though they have drawbacks.  It must be the novelty, or their colorful packaging, or something.

I've had my fair share of them, but ever since I've been awakened in the eyes of oral indulgence.. Now I'd have to struggle to eat certain ones. When your younger, you just dont think about it.. It's quick, you eat it fast enough to not really go into depth about the flavor or what it contains, and.. their cheap and affordable.

I try not to eat them as much anymore, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't pick up at least 2-3 microwavable meals of sorts when I go to the store. Not so much meals anymore as something like steamed vegetables, a pot pie every now and again, or a healthy choice microwavable meal. Probably not that much healthier, but sometimes.. you just dont have time to cook. I'd like to eventually cut them out completely and eat more natural foods entirely.. Just requires me to constantly have food pre-prepared, and time.. not always on your side.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.

I have ate TV dinners many a time growing up...now that I'm older I try to stay away from them. Although I still buy some every now and again to help out when I'm in a pinch for time I try to eat food from the garden or recipes that I find online so that I don't get stuck eating the same meals every night.. I have thought about making my own Pre-made meals...(meaning at the start of every week make my food for the week and put in the freezer to help as far at the time crunch goes)....Anyone else ever done this?

The Anna Marie or some shit (green packaging, $1) are flavorless. The banquet ones are ok, except for chicken fried steak. ugh. god. I struggled to eat that one, but I did because I survive on ramen and 1 microwavable meal a day :/

True... they are def a nice, dare I say fancy, quick fix food when you just don't have the time to make a homemade one!
