I'd imagine schizoaffective is misdiagnosed frequently enough, but full blown schizophrenics tend to have a lot more issues with quality of life, experience more cognitive difficulty, and have below average intelligence. Schizoaffective folk tend to have higher than average intelligence and increased reliance on divergent thinking. They're functionally different.

Is anyone here diagnosed with schizophrenia? I have something called schizo-effective-tendencies (yes that's an actual diagnosis) And I've seen dead people, ALOT.  I know some people have this gift and some people don't. So I often wonder, how many people with this gift are labeled as a schizophrenia? I mean, I guess if they gave me some badass meds and a check, I wouldn't complain anyways, but society needs to broaden their horizons a bit.
