Racing tractor
« on: September 29, 2014, 01:57:45 am »
So out at a relatives place im building a racing tractor (Mostly to just fuck around on).   here are a few pics.

As you can see its parked outside next to the other junker,  I put skinny tires on the front just so that its easy to move around by hand.

here you can see the engine,  a 6.5 Hp 2 stroke from a lawn-boy lawn mower.  the pull start comes up the side of the tractor snowmobile style

inside the engine compartment you can see everything,   the muffler points out thru the steel mesh grill with the aid of the adaptor I made.
the carb is also mounted to an adaptor to keep the float bowl level.   a pulley and belt system transfers the power to the underside where the clutch is mounted.

here is a view of the drivers area,  the old throttle lever is now the choke lever for the carb and the red light switch is a temporary kill switch for the motor till everything is finished.

I will update this as more work is done.   the original seat is to be replaced with a car seat from an old Camaro and the whole thing is to be painted a new colour.
I have everything to finish this project but the time right now.   the rear axel will be a live axel running the new tires and rims I have and the brakes are of the belt and pulley type.

more to come.
