Updating the Wardrobe
« on: October 12, 2014, 06:49:21 am »
There was a time, when I was considered.. probably.. one of the more fashionable people around my area. And if you knew my area, you wouldn't question that. I always stood out a little bit, but.. I always kinda liked that.

In recent years, thought I still dress to impress just about every time I go out, my wardrobe is slowly faltering. It's just now starting to make that turn for the winter season, and honestly.. I'm not too overly obsessed with a fashion scene, or appeal over functionality. My clothing options vary greatly from dress shirts, ties, blazers, vests, etc for when I'm going out on a date or to attend an event.. At home, I'll wear longjohns under my clothes, throw on a pair of coveralls and my old faithful work boots to get the job done.. A good portion of my clothes are Goodwill thrift finds, because.. while I like to look good, I'm practical enough to know that no clothing is worth overspending on.. and doing so is more than likely a bad investment. Unless your really rubbing elbows with the right people and even then, it would be hard for me..

Any have some good links for some trendy modern casual ware? I'm looking for clothes that look sharp and possibly a bit futuristic.. I'm known for being eccentric a bit (although in more populated locales I'd blend with the crowd).. I've seen some stuff like side zippers (is this a new thing?), looking for hoodies, jackets, watches, and possibly some good tennis shoes with an excellent grip.. I'd still like to get a par of those shoes that are like a rubberized coating of your foot.. like the barefoot shoes.. You dont even hear about those anymore.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.
