And that IS the whole fuckin point, Rook.....the example that Zek sets is negative and detrimental to attracting and retaining new users. Because as a mod he IS one of the supposed "leaders"(?) around here, and because of that status has more impact on the tone/pulse/direction of what "this place is about"......moreso than even a dozen of the most vocal regulars/better contributors combined.
All Zek posts about is inane immaturity, and petty silliness. The only topic I've seen him have a sincere/productive opinion on is health food. Everything else is just trolling, attention whoring nonsense....and when your answer to every topic imaginable is "let's hold hands and love will find a way", it creates an awkward and absurd environment that very few people want to be a part of, ESPECIALLY on a board that is so diverse and controversial as this.
That doesn't even include the fluff and bullshit Zek worries about....."we need Hello Kitty smilies"..."can I have my post count reset"...."I think I'll change my name today, nope lemme change it back". These are ALL spastic and immature acts of foolishness by a deranged and silly individual....and again this IS what is leading the userbase as to "what this place is about".
"Leading by example" IS the fundamental basis of everyone's gripe about Zek....and the only difference of understanding the importance of that is you erroneously put the onus of that "leadership' in the hands of the userbase, when in reality its actually in the hands of the people that DO have the status and title of
leaders.
