Honey Boo Boo canceled- mom dating child molester

So this poor girl's mom was dating a man convicted of molesting an 8-year old relative of the TV family, 10 years ago.  TLC cancelled the show and stopped promoting it, citing concerns for "Honey Boo Boo" (Alana Thompson).  Yikes.

Reality TV never seems like a happy reality to me.  It's disgusting that certain lower-class families are exploited as they are by these media corporations, but good at least that we're not yet trying to turn child sex abuse into reality TV.  Our natural morbid curiosity has led us to some scary places already, with shows like To Catch a Predator and whatever.  Still some child abuse and going on in the name of entertainment, but not anything quite that bad just yet.

In some ways our societies seem sick.

Honey Boo Boo is too ugly to attract a pedo, so i'm not sure what their concern is.

Ultimately this is irrelevent, said child molester is long since out of their lives. But the real important thing is there's one less craptastic reality show on TV. Who gives a fuck about a bunch of inbreds?
