I do believe that the power of thought and self suggestion does have a physical impact on both our lives and bodies. I'll relate this to my personal exercise of focusing strongly on healing when I'm either injured or ill.. and it usually works to startling results. I believe positive reinforcement via thought clearly has an impact on personal performance across many levels and mediums.. an athlete reciting a mantra to breakthrough a personal physical plateau.. talking to oneself before a speech to get yourself amped up.. conceptually imagining victory or how you want events to play out, and then proceeding to make that happen..
While the IQ of 190 seems to be a bit of a stretch, I also agree that the use of certain substances can.. substantially (pun) increase the human ability to reason concepts that previously may have been beyond comprehension. In my personal experience, I often close my eyes and meditate on imagining the scale of the universe and infinity.. It's an experience within itself, what your imagination and mind I capable of..
Haha, not to detract from the credibility of everything I just said... I will also admit that I often try to move things with my mind.. and I don't care if you believe this or not, I have had two experiences in my life where I was randomly staring.. on one occassion I was on an apartment porch looking towards a river bank for about 30 mins, when the brush pile was staring at started smoking, and then caught fire.. The other incident was along the same lines.. staring off into space looking at a pile of dried leaves over an embankment, when they spontaneously started smoking. I try to rationalize that perhaps on both occasions someone had tossed a cigarette butt before my arrival (both were public-esque environments), but still.. even though my first super human power of choice wold have been moving things with my mind, I suppose setting fire to things with my mind wouldn't be too bad either. I was also never ale to replicate the events and believe me.. I did try. lol.
