I was having these for a while, it was pretty terrifying.  Sometimes I would have a nightmare and then 'wake up' to being unable to move - at first I wondered if I was in a coma, is this what it would be like?

I had been binging/heavy drinking for a few weeks straight at the time, and not getting enough sleep at night.  I actually quit drinking for a while and started to get more rest and haven't experienced them since.

Have you met the shadow people?

i've only seen a shadow person once twenty-three years ago and it was the first time i ever experienced sleep paraylsis.

now ... i just "wake up" stuck -- wanting to scream and with all my nerves move my body upwards but feel like a magnet on my bed.

then when i snap out of it, i scream like a faggot and then i watch a few execution videos to calm my nerves.

it's exactly like that one carnival ride when you're in small room with a bunch of other people and you're laying down slanted and it starts spinning like a 1,000 mph and you're unable to move.

weird shit.

i'm afraid to sleep.
