Wholesale Phones from China

Hello IS.
A random guy I met on the street is nervous, because he claimed to have had a dream about selling a wholesale Samsung Galaxy S5 phone on craigslist. He said it was a working replica of the real Samsung S5. Unfortunately, the guy he sold it to showed up to be working at the US Attorney's Office.

My question is, he only sold it for about 200 dollars profit in dream currency, but he wants to know if he should be nervous...

1. Is it illegal to resell wholesale goods knowingly or unknowingly?
2: Would they come after him for a sale as small as around 3- 400$?
Also, this random guy used a texting app for all communications and deleted the app and the CL ad after the sale.

I could be mistaken, but the guy I met seemed to wonder if they would track him down in his dream for selling a wholesale phone in the US, or if it was just a coincidence. Please let me know asap so I can tell this guy on the street that he is alright.

where did you get the phone from in the first place?  did you buy it?

3. soooo...? delete them all you want...theyre still on record somewhere, especially if it was an internet-app

if no, how did you come about to have possession of it?
