Anime / The new To Love Ru: Darkness OVA is out
« on: December 08, 2014, 08:07:49 PM »
Ok, so anyone who likes ecchi, and hasn't seen To Love Ru, for shame. Shaaaaame. It is pervy as fuck, and I love it. I'm hoping for a new season, but in the mean time, I'll settle for the OVAs, next one due in April.

I'm going to tell you right now that the second segment is probably the filthiest thing I've seen in the whole series. Thumbs up for Yui being a victim of the sexy shenanigans here. Accidental orgasms FTW!

Italians post breast selfies 'for science'

An Italian woman has started a blog coupling bare breasts with factual signs, telling The Local the nude photos can help promote scientific achievement.

The “Boobs for Science” (“Tette per la Scienza”) blog was started by 30-year-old Lara Tait, a web marketer who studied paleoanthropology.

The tone was set by the first image; a photo of a woman’s cleavage and a sign: "25 percent of Italians deny the theory of evolution. In the US, it's 60 percent."

Tait’s intention was to use the blog as a tool to inform the masses of scientific achievement, she told The Local.

“I think that in Italy more should be done to bring science and its results to the people. So I just had the idea to do something original in this sphere,” she said.

Numerous women have since contributed their own photographs to the Tumblr blog, in various states of undress.

Nudes, women in underwear or corsets all feature, while some men have ignored the “boobs” title and send naked photos of themselves.

Tait said there was “absolutely” no risk the “Boobs for Science” blog would reinforce sexism in Italy.

“A woman is free to do what she wants with her own body, also put it to the service of science if she wants,” she said.

The contributors - Italians and foreigners living in Italy - cover a huge range of topics in their nude or semi-nude shots. Posers recount facts on everything from autism to the age of the universe, while biodiversity, illiteracy and vivisection also feature.

"Vegetable protein doesn't have the same biological value as animal protein," declares someone clad in suspenders.

"Cuts to research are cuts to your future, [the future of] your children and your country,” reads a sign next to a naked bottom.

Under each post a lengthy explanation is often given, featuring links to scientific studies.

The science fans also used the hashtag #iostoconrosetta (“I am with Rosetta”) to throw their support behind the European Space Agency’s (ESA) recent mission. In a scientific first, the Rosetta spacecraft on November 12th landed on a comet.

Back on Earth, “very strong participation” in the blog has continued. “Each day contributions arrive from people who are enthusiastic about our idea,” both women and men, Tait said.

Sex & Affection / Refractory period

So I guess that's a thing. After posting in the premature ejaculatory thread, I did some reading. I was pretty well shocked to find out that most guys actually can't keep it up after blowing a load. I always figured you guys were just lazy bastards who called it quits because you felt all good and relaxed after your O. Needless to say at this point, I don't have one. Weird huh?

What's really weird is that I went this long without knowing about this in the first place. Well, maybe not that weird, since it's super rare that I get laid, and my stamina is way longer than average anyway, so round 1 is generally more than enough.

Spurious Generalities / So my neighbors think I'm a pedophile
« on: November 26, 2014, 04:58:16 AM »
I may have mentioned before that I've been mentoring the neighbor kid. His home life sucks, he's a dork, and a major social outcast. That shit's rough when you're 10, I went through it myself.

We get along, so he hangs out at my place all the time. Mainly playing video games and watching anime. Kid's got good taste too, he's nuts about Death Note at the moment. Never mind that I'm old enough to be his dad, he keeps saying that I'm the older brother he always wanted.

Apparently having a kid come over and hang out all the time is starting to skeeve out some of the neighbors, and the goddamn trailer park rumor mill is going into effect.

So yeah. Fuck my life.

Anime / What are you watching?
« on: November 25, 2014, 10:23:44 AM »
I've been binging a lot harder than usual lately, so I've seen a few different things in the past couple weeks:

  • Silver Spoon (I read the manga first, same author as Fullmetal Alchemist, radically different type of story.)
  • To Love Ru: Darkness (It is funnier, deeper, and dirtier than before.)
  • The Devil Is A Part Timer
  • Bayonetta: Bloody Fate (I have no fucking idea what I just watched, but it was awesome anyway.)

What's everyone else watching?

Utah Woman Wears Colander For Driver’s License Photo As Religious Statement

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) – A Utah woman says she encountered only brief resistance when she recently had her driver’s license photo taken while wearing a colander on her head as a religious statement.

Asia Lemmon, whose legal name appears on her driver’s license as Jessica Steinhauser, said the pasta strainer represents her beliefs in the satirical Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

The Flying Spaghetti Monster movement, also known as “Pastafarianism,” started in 2005 as a protest against teaching intelligent design as an alternative to evolution in Kansas schools.

When she had the photo taken Sept. 29, Lemmon said she wasn’t sure if officials at the Division of Motor Vehicles office in Hurricane would allow her to wear the headgear, but “it was surprisingly really, really easy.”

Nannette Rolfe, the director of Utah’s Driver License Division, said about a dozen Pastafarians have had their state driver’s license photos taken with a similar colander or pasta strainer on their heads in recent years.

“As long as we can get a visual of the face, we’re fine if they choose to wear the headgear,” she said.

Hats and headgear are not allowed for driver’s license photos unless they’re religious garments, Rolfe said. After the first few Pastafarians came in about two years ago, state officials determined the church is a recognized religion and its members don’t require any special paperwork, she said.

Lemmon, a St. George resident, is a former porn star who performed under the name Asia Carrera, The Spectrum of St. George reported Monday ( ).

She said she wanted to make a statement with the photo.

“I’m a really proud, outspoken atheist,” she said. “I am proud of Utah for allowing freedom of all religions in what is considered by many to be a one-religion state.”

About two-thirds of the state’s residents are Mormons, and Utah is home to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Lemmon said even though Utah is a conservative state, everyone has been respectful of her religious views.

Gearheads / Replacing a flywheel in a F150
« on: November 18, 2014, 12:31:39 AM »
Does anyone know how difficult it would be to replace the flywheel in a F150? I'd like to do it myself and save some money, (and because I like getting my hands dirty). I have no idea the difficulty level though, other than being told I should probably have someone else do it.

I don't have much under the hood experience, but I am very good with mechanical things, and can follow a repair manual like a champ.

Spurious Generalities / Exploiting a DMCA request

I was just googleing a manga I wanted to read, and saw a link to a DMCA request to block certain results. So I read the complaint. Thanks for a nice indexed list of resources that have what I want in multiple formats, dumbasses.

Spurious Generalities / I Shit On Your Grave
« on: November 12, 2014, 01:41:17 PM »
Many years ago when I was a child, I had a wretched bitch of a teacher. We're talking calling me in front of the class to ridicule my hygiene in front of everyone type of evil. Detention literally (and not figuratively) every single day that year, because she didn't like me. That shit will mess you up as a kid. I had a rough fucking year even without that, but mocking, isolating, and turning me into bully bait pretty much nuked my social skills.

She's got to be dead by now, she was about a million years old at the time. I keep thinking that I should track down her grave and fuck it up, and that I'll feel better after I literally shit on her grave, the way she figuratively shat on my life.

Anime / Watamote is hard to watch
« on: November 08, 2014, 10:14:08 PM »
Now, I am rather liking this one, but good gawd, it is downright painful watching this loser girl try to put her life together. All the rage, desperation, self loathing, self delusion... It's all just a bit too realistic to be comfortable. I'm not sure I've ever identified with a character quite this much.

Cunning Linguists / Learning Japanese
« on: November 03, 2014, 08:17:15 PM »
So I've decided to finally get down to formally learning Japanese, which is one of those things I've always said I was going to do. After digging around, I settled on getting some software called HumanJapanese, since the reviews called it pretty good, and it's dirt cheap. I can move onto something better later, I figure.

But gawd, some of the non-english phonemes (sound units) just make me want to cry in frustration. and I thought nailing that weird l/r sound was hard. It's been a long time since I actually had to think about what I'm doing with my tongue.

...shut up, you know what I mean.

Sex & Affection / Well, that's one way to discover a new fetish.
« on: November 01, 2014, 06:09:55 AM »
Just got home from day one of an anime convention ( further discussion on that in this thread) and while I knew from other cons that I dig some strange stuff, I now know that I totally get hot for women in wedding dresses. With skirts and white stockings.

Also, maid costumes with cat ears are sooooo much better than either one of those alone.
