You could get an Audi 5000, spark plug changes on those are easy ;)

i wouldn't mind working on an older german vehicle, fuck the newer ones. there would be many german engineers in my holiday. oil dipstick? we can get rid of that! trans dipstick? we don't need those. 2 spark plugs per cylinder? let's do it!

back on topic.... got the plugs and wires on ok and now it's running rough. i suspect a vacumn leak, among other things, could be the cause. also could've eaten a chunk of the plenum gasket. at any rate, more money to burn. can't really complain since it does have 225,000 miles on it with little trouble so far.

replaced the plugs and wires on my girlfriends 00 ford taurus. fuck that. when that car dies i'm gonna replace it with something less engineered to be a pain in the ass.

also, i propose a new international holiday: punch an automotive engineer in the face day! we gather all the changes made to cars over the years and the engineers responsible for said changes and we get to pummel them for the really stupid ideas. we should also get to punch them for the great ideas that were never used, like a drain plug on an automatic transmission. i would love to be able to change the trans oil in half the time with a third of the mess.

just got finished replacing the head gasket in my 87 horizon. it was my first time replacing something major and i was jumping for joy when i finally got it to start.
