The site went down for the first day due to a DDoS but for the rest of it, it was just my host being really slow to do anything. It was pretty stupid.
Anyway. Celebrate/hate here.

There will always be new generations of evil, criminals, libertines, and degenerates. Image boards and reddit aren't a replacement for a proper message board, and facebook and twitter sure as hell aren't.
If someone really had the intelligence, drive, and resources to draw them, they could. No doubt it's more difficult now with the new generation of top sites drawing people, trapping them in the time wasting mind rotting cycle.

As much as I enjoy trolling you and acting like a disgruntled member of the site, I actually appreciate the time you put in to keeping this site up. It's a place for me to come and say, ask, or question whatever I want. Legal or illegal. And not get judged or disowned for it.
It's sad to me that Zoklet went down, but I hope this site and community stays alive for many years to come. Don't give up on us Arnox :)

As a former member of &T staff at the point of closure and twice as a staffer on Zoklet, I can sincerely tell you that you're a full-of-shit-know-nothing.

in terms of infighting, I believe he's referring to generally massive mod drama because jeff was never around to keep them in line. I actually don't remember much of it except MLoR fucking his dog. and Meta arguing with everyone else because he really, really liked to infract people.

the rise of social networking sites diminished and still drives down the popularity of messageboards, especially general ones... even if there was capable leadership that everyone respected and drama was somehow erased, there's no way any of these mimics could ever grow to the size and popularity of totse because the majority of people do not use the internet that way anymore.

Yeah, Facebook has some serious problems with it. Now obviously, for some people, Facebook is all they need, but to say that there's no market for sites like this anymore... I seriously have to disagree. Forums may definitely not be as strong as they once were but they are still definitely going and they are used for a variety of purposes.

That fact remains that Totse was failing. Zoklet was a continuation of that decline. People who claim otherwise, i.e. that Totse, and by extension Zoklet, were doing "fine", are either complete retards or undercover geniuses who've seen some brilliant truth that has passed those with regular intelligence by. So until some explanation is provided for the demise of this community, I'll keep making the same statement: this site will fail in the long run for the same reason &T and Zoklet failed, i.e. administrative incompetence.
Autistic comparisons with Facebook, or any other site, will not change this reality.
