Every thread on Reddit even tacitly linked to matters of faith bears host to a circle jerk of these pricks. First it's "Religion is the scourge of humanity," like they think they can just address every idea men have had about the metaphysical with one sweeping comment. Then, if you press them for an example, you get, "The Bible is old, God didn't actually write it and I think some of the characters were made up!" Because every religiously devout person believes in the divine origin of the Christian Bible.
Fuck ratheists. They peddle their simpleton rhetoric to budding young minds who could otherwise benefit from healthy and constructive questioning of their beliefs.

It all balances out in the end man. I know I went through a phase like that and I came out better for it. And if they go through their lives angry and spiteful then they'll learn first hand what hell is.

The whole 'neckbeard fedora wearing atheist' is a great, true package meme that undermines their whole way of life.
Lets not forget all people always seek some kind of power. These people have no advantage in real world society so they yearn on the 'dominance' of religiously indoctrinated people to feel self-worth.
Their pseudo-aptitude is to debate Christians who are only a product of their upbringing and/or environment. Finding inherit contradictions in their way of life and belief is nothing to be proud of, yet that's all they have.
That's all they can scrap together to ride on. Leave them to it, just like we leave the Christians to it.

That's fairly likely. I'd like to think they might instead continue to educate themselves on religious subjects, eventually transforming into a more whole and tolerant individual by way of knowledge (as you appear to have done), but I'm sometimes told I could benefit from a dose of cynicism.

This strikes me as a poignant analysis. I don't think there's really a way to combat their obnoxious remarks, so it's probably easier if I think of their motivations.

But for real when it comes to online communities its easy enough for the masses to choose one that by and large sides with their viewpoints and ideology that real discussion is nowhere to be had. All that comes of it is mass amounts of bullshit rhetoric. I mean tumblr has the feminazis, reddit is chock full of atheists, 4chan is full of shitposters and Nat Soc's, instagram is full of bitches who wanna share pictures of their food. When it comes down to it do you really think that in communities in which each user is just more hardcore or less hardcore versions of each other that profound dialogue can be had?
There is no large online community in which there is a drastic variation in ideology.
Maybe that is what sanctuary should be...

Alright I didn't read the OP but I got banned from /r/atheism for a single thread that I made + comments. I left there with EXACTLY -100 before getting banned. It was glorious trolling these faggots. God, they're so disgusting.
