1. probably but that shouldn't matter, just change it

1. no, MAC addresses are not sent over WAN links, that's what the modem IMEI is for
2. as in the antivirus provider, when you download updates? no way to know for sure, so you might as well assume yes

I should have said updates to an anti viris provider will require IP address logs from the server

1, Not unless it was bugged to hell and back. I've never had success changing the mac on my computer, either with ifconfig or maccchanger it always fucking goes back to normal after a short time. Buy the wifi card in the same fashion you bought the hotspot if you are truly paranoid.
2. Not sure what exactly you mean. I would assume they log the ip of the hotspot if you are connecting to their servers. Obviously they can't see anything beyond the hotspot.

How long on average do servers keep the logs? Forever?
