There are only two internet service providers in my city and I have to pay 70.00 a month for 15mbps. They even run these shitty 'promotions' where you could sign up for 24.00 a month but you have to sign up for TWO years and the promo only last ONE so the second year they jack up the price to 70 and you still end up paying the whole second year rate because they charge you the difference if you disconnect. What bullshit is this? ISPs are really assholes. They even have a 250gb a month limit.

I can only get Comcrap here, and I'm paying $100 for 25 mbps. Not that I've ever seen it go over 6. Hate them so much. So much.

Mines is cheap and runs super fast. My internet is together with my cable TV. I got time warner I think its like $30 bucks a month.

$40 USD per month.  Says "up to" 15 Mbps down and 5 up.

EDIT: this is JUST internet.  don't do the TV or phone bs.

$70 AUD/mo for ADSL2+, so theoretical maximum of 20Mbps... the highest I've seen was just over 10

$50 per month for the mid-grade package.. easily downloads over a MB a sec, and more.. but I don't push my laptop too hard.

Included in rent but I think the plan costs ~$70 a month. I don't know what's promised but I get like 2Mb/s down and .5 up which is pretty abysmal but it's split like 7 ways so I think it's actually the router that's eating shit.

Yea I dont really understand how my package is 50mbps and yet I download at 1-2 mbs a sec.. is that right? its always been fast enough to get me by.. i've heard they lower your speed after the first month though unless you call on them..

Why do we put up with this shit. Contracts that are clearly bait and switch, this 'up to' bullshit to cover their ass since they can't guarantee the quality of their own fucking services.
