Galaxy S5

I've pretty much foregone typing on my phone completely. It's like my own personal Star Trek computer.

Just moved up from HTC One V to the Galaxy S3. Not the best obviously but most definitely an improvement. Around $200 was all I was willing to drop on a phone in my current financial situation as I'd rather put that cash towards a new desktop. I don't use my phone nearly as much as other people because I prefer to do most of my computing on a laptop/desktop. My digitizer was cracked on the One V and the headphone jack was on the fritz and because it was rather outdated (and coincidentally my prepaid plan had expired) I decided to go ahead and take the plunge and acquire a higher performance cellular device. This particular model was on sale for one day at a local retailer for $199 instead of $279 so I decided to take advantage. Huge improvement, certainly satisfied with my purchase. Wish the prepaid service had 4G service but the 3G is fast enough for anything I need it to do when I'm not within range of suitable Wi-Fi.

Galaxy S4 unlocked rooted Xposed etc etc etc.............

I don't really think it gets much better than this. That being said, I'm considering the Note 4 and Nexus 6 when I'm ready to upgrade. Fuck a GS5/G3.

For me, it's all about modability (it's a word, I swear). The S5 and G3 just don't have the same support base yet, though the G3 is getting there. The S4 has an insane support base. With the bootloader unlocked, I can use any rom or firmware from 4.2 to 5.0 when it's released. Typically, downgrading firmwares is either very difficult or impossible for most devices. With the S4 I can flash, root, and install recovery all on the fly without ever having to touch a computer.

The Note 4 has qHD. Pretty sure the Nexus 6 does, too. Your G3 is moot at best. Enjoy your locked BL, though.

Actually it's really easy to unlock the bootloader on a g3...
