I completely, totally, wholehartedly hate it when other ppl (especially drunken ppl) mess up an otherwise perfect state of drunkenness...
Drinking is a hobby best practiced in solitude.

99 percent of the time I'm alone. All my friends are either dead or in jail/too addicted to drugs to be tolerable to be around. Yes my hometown is quite fucked.

I drink alone all the time. Like, 5 days a week. I'd rather drink with friends, but I drink every night, and my friends are too busy/lazy to hangout on week nights most of the time. I'm going to take a break though, starting tonight maybe, my tolerance has gotten to the point where getting drunk off beer is pretty fucking hard to do. Even when drinking 7-8% tallboys. Last night I didn't even get drunk and I drank enough to kill 2 children. I might have to taper off though, I doubt I will be able to sleep without drinking. Oh well. The last 2 times I ended a bender I got horrible nightmares for weeks. Should be fun.

He's got this whole Oliver Twist thing going. He gets the kids boozed up and makes them purse-jack old ladies and ask soccer mom's for donations to their church youth group.
Then Zanick kills them all every couple of months, recycles most of the bodies in the alcohol vats he keeps under his house, and uses the blood-alcohol to entrance the next batch of youngsters.
It's a pretty good racket.

I find unsavory behavior in general to be a deterrant from drinking with others. Vomiting, crying, squabbling, unwanted sexual advances, people clinging to acquaintences they don't care for and engaging inconversations they don't understand, etc. These things kill the part of me that occasionally craves a larger gathering. A few beers or a drunken night with close friends is pleasant, however, so long as it doesn't drag on.

I drink alone most of the time. It's far cheaper than going out. I'm not about to pay $3 for a bottle of shit macro beer when I can get really good American craft beer or imported beer for less than that. I drink fairly often but I limit myself. No more drinking 750ml bottles of whiskey, etc. I see nothing wrong with 1-3 beers per day after I get everything done.

I got bad with it drinking 20 beers plus dat wild turkey 101 mixed in I don't like much liquor so if usually just go beer with bourbon thrown in. Average night would be around 20 beers and 6-10 shots. When I would go out places I would get absolutely destroyed off dirty martinis I don't even know how many I would drink on average. That was when I was still traveling and doing the construction gig and it didnt help that my boss was even worse than me on his dad off he'd start drinking at 6 am and go until 9 or 10 at night.
It never messed with my job I always woke up no hangover and would go to work. I went like 47 days straight goin full retard drinking. I'm glad I pretty much stopped ill drink once every two weeks now. The amount of money I was spending was just stupid.

On totse2 I drank a fifth of rum straight from the bottle every night for almost a year and the buildup to that point was almost 2 years I think. I quit when the shakes started to appear if I didn't start drinking at the right "Time". I still drink alone and its always hard stuff like scotch but not as much as I used to.

Man I fucking hate sports bars. They're ok for basketball sometimes but fuck you have to be a huge tool to want to go watch tons of sports at a bar all the time. The ones I've been to were all really loud and douchey. I wish we had more of an "alehouse" type bar around here. Like something out of the Middle Ages. Stone building, dim lighting, a place where you could go to get some decent yet basic & cheap dinner like bread and stew, have beer in large mugs, listen to chill maybe live music, some kind of old games or entertainment, and interact with other patrons in a laid back environment without any fucking tvs.
A cool upscale bar for me would be a 1920s themed bar. Big band music, cabaret girls dancing, real bartenders mixing real drinks from the time period, rye whiskey, actual dancing. A place like our great grandparents might have heard about or went to.
Those are the kind of bars I'd like to go to. Either something really low key or something that has entertainment worth going to. Sports bars are fucking pointless. 500 million tvs on the walls and nothing but shit beer for miles. Barf. I'd rather drop $15 on a 30 rack and save myself the agony.

i could definitely go for some pbr right now. im taking some shots of cruzan 2 year dark rum.

I used to be able to kill a liter of vodka a night. Went with the 2nd from bottom shelf. UV was my fav caz it wasn't gross. I have a bad gag reflex when it comes to cheap alcohol. UV is very tasty, almost didn't need a chaser.
Captain Morgans always makes me puke. Can't touch the shit anymore.. Also can't do screwdrivers. First time ever drinking I was 16 and had screwdrivers.. man that shit is so bad coming up.
Before I quit drinking I was into beer.. got this cheap shit called "Beer 30" play on words, you know like 12:30 or some shit. 30 case for like 12 bux warm.
I never drank alone. Actually thinking back it fucking sux. I didn't have any friends at the time, had just started making some but they were always broke. So every night I would hit them up and be like "Come hang out at Brad's, beer is on me".. wasted so much money and guess what when I lost my job and couldn't buy the beer anymore my "friends" vanished.

Umbrella Corp, you seem like a kind-hearted person. If I were in your situation at that point i would've told them to get their own booze at least once. You can always make friends by going to bars and shit too, given you aren't antisocial as fuck.

Meh that was a long time ago. I used to be severely anti social. Not so much anymore and ya I still like buying other people drugs/liq caz getting fucked up is only fun with other people IMO.. but I don't let people take advantage of my generosity anymore.

If you are used to drinking every night, it doesn't affect you much in the morning. I can get shit faced, drink till I black out (liquor), and be up in the morning without a hangover. Your body gets used to breaking down alcohol quickly, which is why its very hard to get drunk (off beer) in the first place. And I spend like 120 bucks a week on alcohol. Huge waste of money, but still cheaper than most drug addictions. Tastier too.

I forget what they were, but I know one was an apocalypse dream that seemed to go on forever. As odd as it may sound, I actually quite enjoy horrible nightmares. In addition to being addicted to alcohol, I'm also addicted to adrenalin, and there are very few things... actually... none, in my usual day that evoke any adrenalin response. My nightmares are where I feel most alive. Tonight will probably be much worse. Should be good times.

I find melatonin always gives me nightmares, or at least unpleasantly vivid dreams. It also has some other really wonky if I take it regularly, so I basically don't. You might try valerian instead. Good for getting to sleep, doesn't seem to have a significant impact on sleep quality.

getting off of booze when you've been at it for a while sucks. it's hard to sleep. i tended to feel really anxious when i didn't "drink on schedule". tonight i had some rum but i can't do too much. once you get off alcohol, your tolerance drops pretty fast. i used to drink 750ml bottles regularly. i can't do anything like that anymore. honestly i dont even feel good when i get drunk anymore. i get hangovers now. i feel sick all the next day. totally sucks.

I do. I know it's got some negative connotations, but realistically downing a couple tallboys by myself and then getting a good night's sleep is way healthier than going out with friends, feeding the drunchies with taco bell, staying up until some ungodly hour because a handle of whiskey won't finish itself, and then passing out on a fold-out because too drunk to drive home.
