Say you start a business. Let's say it's a corner shop. And you spend the majority of your time trying to decide what color the front counter should be.
That's what Sanctuary is. I can't believe the amount of time this dickhead has spent figuring out how to format the "thanks" feature. Can you imagine how long it'll take him to actually do something major?
Meanwhile, all the customers are leaving and no new ones are coming in. "I gotta figure what color this bench should be, guys! I'm doin' polls and everything, so don't worry! A herp da derp! Dragons!"

Just so you know, I had to extract the original mod, look around online to see exactly which files of the mod had to be changed to make the mod do what I wanted it to do, then dig around in that files code and see which things needed to be changed, (luckily, the original mod author wasn't a complete dunce and actually commented his code, thank goodness) and then save, put it all back into a zip and then upload it and test it to make sure it did what I wanted it to do.
Not saying in the slightest that what I did was super 1337 work at all but it was far from a walk in the park for me.

Enter isn't actually complaining though. This is ideal for him. Ever since the death of zok there's been a great big admin sized hole in the field of things he hates and arnox is just the person to fill it. Notice he isn't actually saying anything need to be changed, he's at his best when he's laughing at someone's earnest efforts.

True. The level of policing and adherence to the somewhat constricting rules isn't warranted given how small this place is. If Arnox eased up a little more and opened the registration again we might have a chance at expansion.

The first thing I would like to do is apologize for the sudden shutdown. To be quite honest, we were NOT ready at all for such a massive influx of members and it may take a bit to adjust to our now current userbase. Having said that, I'd like to welcome you all to the Sanctuary.
Then I realized that if I ever wanted to see the legacy of totse survive, I would have to carry it to safety myself. It seemed no one else was going to do it. And so, I made a decision. I was going to start a new replacement. I didn't have any experience in admining a forum at all. I didn't have any experience with hosts. All I had was a vision and the drive to see it happen.
The result is what you have before you. The wait is over. We are here now. No more nonsense. No more looking. And may it forever stay that way.

I'm not going to haggle over semantics because welcome/invite amount to the same thing in the end; Arnox decided to accept a slice of the Totse userbase. He didn't know what he was letting himself in for because he was never on Totse, but it's too late to do anything about that now. Shouting 'I am in charge' at them is utterly pointless; you can house them within certain limits or you can exterminate them, there isn't much in the way of middle ground.

Just to clarify, I think shit posting has a place here. Not every thread or post is going to be a golden treasure trove of information, so where there are gaps in quality the shit posts keep activity up and can be entertaining to an extent. This place never going anywhere isn't really an accusation or a prediction anymore, more of an inevitability. It was an opportunity to make something decent and much better than zoklet but instead turned into something far worse.
