I seen a guy take one and after awhile he just started screaming and rolling all over the floor. He said he sees demons and kept freaking out. I was just smoking my weed feeling bad for the guy. He was totally full retard. He wouldn't stop rolling on the floor. Every time he hits a wall he would start rolling in the other direction. Is that what everyone feels like when they trip on shrooms? I was gonna take one but after seeing what happened to him I decided not to lol

I always prefered LSD but the days of real acid are gone. I've had shrooms seven times and five of them were a non stop giggle fest. I had two bad trips on them but that was my own stupid fault - girlfriends dumping me drinking full bottle of whiskey and a case of beer then eating an eighth to your face... Yeah don't do that.

Yeah, never done shrooms or acid myself but have been told by countless other people your mood before the trip is going to make or break your trip in some cases. Of course, it's kinda like that with everything. Get pissed off before you start drinking it's just going to make it worse etc..

For over a year straight, I used to dose on 5-6 grams dry of home grown shrooms, every week or two.

How old are you? I don't care if this offends you, you sound young, and if you are, you aren't fully physically and psychologically developed and haven't had the time to learn and experience, overall develop, that others have. This is an incredibly stupid question.

I watched over 20 and not one good reaction. Before doing something you know nothing about its important toget feedbacks from people who does which i did by opening up this thread. You can't get insight into a mushroom trip by watching people trip on Youtube. It will turn you off because all of these people are idiots.
Also note: It might look awful on the outside but maybe the person acting all weird is experiencing bliss you can't possibly imagine.

Take 2.5 gramms if the mushrooms have thick stems and wide brown caps and 1-1.5 gramms if the mushrooms have thin stems with small white caps.

But if you must do shrooms, my fav method is to bust up your dosage (one time i did 12 grams like this) in a coffee grinder. then take the powder and mix it up in some sort of drink. I've used OJ, fruitopia, one time water, and chug the entire thing in 1 minute. Best delivery system. You don't have to chew some nasty dried out mushrooms, the onset is way quicker, and therefore so is the upset stomach/weird mental feeling on the come up. Lsd is great because the upset stomach/weird mental come up are not nearly as bad, and in addition, the trip is better all around, and lasts way longer.
Lsd is the way to go. But then again, one can not exactly grow lsd under their bed with supplies bought from walmart.

Oh, come on, youtube videos? Back in my day kids would at least read Erowid. The reason bad trips are over represented is due to selection bias. In this case bad trips generally seem more entertaining to the average person, more noteworthy and likely to elicit a desire to record, and will receive more views from them.
What does a good trip generally look like? Someone just lying there with a smile on their face, maybe laughing, looking blissful? People aren't going to watch minutes of that, particularly compared to how people can act during bad trips.

I'm more than willing to take that statement into consideration. However, the link you posted is a terrible example of that statement, at least in terms of the OP (and I don't intend to read the subsequent 12 pages). Essentially you just said that in addition to 'a cube is cube' some 'mushrooms that are not cubes, act like cubes, but are also poisonous'. Not exactly what I would consider compelling evidence in your favor.

I also agree that there are differences between the strains from my own experiences.
Differing alkaloid contents and make ups have been found in different strains so it should be no surprise that they have differeing effects. Psilocybin is of course Psilocybin, though.

Most people have harsh trips because they take a few caps and goto a party or trip around strangers they have no real connection with. Don't do this, mushrooms aren't a party drug, LSD on the other hand can be.
Mushrooms can be an emotional roller coaster, smoking lots of cannabis can help balance that. Benzos are good for the comedown. Don't watch movies on mushrooms, it's a flat out waste IMO cuz you should be outside doin the bill hicks.

That said, I much prefer LSD to shrooms. I don't like the teeter totter of emotions, I also don't believe I've had a truly good shroom trip so I plan on experimenting more with it. LSD is far smoother though.

I see a lot of replies saying LSD is better then sh rooms. Can y'all explain why? I haven't done neither & for those that have can yall explain the feeling of being on mushrooms & the feeling on being on LSD? I only know the feeling of smoking weed & drinking. I'm a king at drinking & smoking weed. I live in l.a. and got bay area connection & the best weed comes from the bay so I get some strong dank. This will be a good thread to explain the feeling of the drug because it will explain to newbies what to expect. We covered dosage which is great. Thanks! Im gonna do some shrooms this Sunday but im gonna take yall advice & just do it by myself in the backyard with no one around me to distract me. Plus if i do something embarrassing at least no one can see it lol

Imo-
Mushrooms are kike a roller coaster. You get pulled along for the ride with all it's ups and downs. They are more organic feeling.
Lsd is like riding a bike down a long, winding, groovy path. LSD is sharper and more "electric"
Trying to explain psychedelics however is an impossible task. Like explaining sight to a blind man. You just can't possibly have any grasp on what they're like until you do them yourself. You can definitely prepare and educate yourself but it's not like most drugs where I can describe to you the effects and you can compile them and get a sense for what it's like. Psychedelics mess up your perception and make connections where there were none before and it's impossibly difficult to describe to somebody who doesn't know.
Don't let that one guy scare you off shrooms. Be smart, research, start low, have a safe environment, see for yourself. Or not. You don't have to either.

Acid is more of a head fuck while shrooms is more visual. 1 hit of acid is about the 2/3 strength an eight of shrooms. honestly all the "acid floating around is usually bunk but sometimes it can be awesome. the beginning of my trips almost always start out with stuff moving in my peripherals, colors brightening, and then later on walls will wave and bow, things seem flat while others 3D

Yeah LSD can be rather disorienting in it's confusion, but it's a nice flowy confusion. But yeah, this thread is about mushrooms. I wish it was about lsd instead. But mushrooms okay, they're pretty tasty actually (imo) and my suggestion to you iop would be to eat them with some trail mix for no other reason than nuts really compliment the flavor of shrooms.
