I found a motorcycle for sale on craigslist
(http://i.imgur.com/Xlrn80Z.png)
the bike is clearly listed as being in Williamsport, about an hour and a half away.
I emailed the people, and got this response:

I replied:
The bike is listed in Williamsport, where is it located? I don't want to deal with shipping it, I'd like to come look at it first.
Also, I deal in Cash. I hope thats acceptable.

how am I being scammed? will I pay the shipping charge to get it here, and never get the bike? will the bike get here and be totally fucked?
its sketchy AF, but I don't see how it works...

I'm the scam king. You won't get shit. The reason he keeps saying eBay will contact your through your email because he will control your eBay and PayPal as soon as you log into their fake eBay email which will look identical to the real eBay but its a fake used to capture your password and username. He will change the password quickly then your money from PayPal will be moved. He will then sell your ebay account for some good money if you got a lot of feedbacks and your a power seller or top seller. Just ignore him and move on to another.

what I figured. how do I call them on their shit? tell them to send my ebay account a message?

Yes! He will constantly tell you on EBay to check your email. No matter what you say he will say go back to your email. You want to do the deal I can tell but if you fall for this lame scam then talk to me next week I'll have a Harley to sell you for only $800 bucks....I'm hooking you up since your an admin.

I understand its just a random pic of an R6 and its never going to happen, but I want trip them up on their own words lol

Anytime anything has to be shipped on Craigslist, it is likely a scam. Especially vehicles. Especially when they have a sob story. There is no transaction history with Craigslist either, so always deal in cash (or certified check if you absolutely must, but request to go to the bank with them). But shipping vehicles on CL is always bad news.

yeah, the whole purpose of craigslist is to deal locally so you don't have to deal with shipping
I'm going to ask for the VIN and see what they come up with

If you want to fuck with him tell him you've paid it every 3 hours. Just keep saying I don't know why you don't have it I just paid.

Per Craigslist:
Deal locally, face-to-face —follow this one rule and avoid 99% of scam attempts.
Do not extend payment to anyone you have not met in person.
Beware offers involving shipping - deal with locals you can meet in person.
Never wire funds (e.g. Western Union) - anyone who asks you to is a scammer.
Don't accept cashier/certified checks or money orders - banks cash fakes, then hold you responsible.
Transactions are between users only, no third party provides a "guarantee".
Never give out financial info (bank account, social security, paypal account, etc).
Do not rent or purchase sight-unseen—that amazing "deal" may not exist.
Refuse background/credit checks until you have met landlord/employer in person.
This one goes against most of the rules. I'd flag it as a scam and move on.
At minimum, the emails from the EBay "escrow" would be fake. You'll pay him money from your PayPal and never see it again. Worse, as described above, is they steal your EBay and PP credentials.
Might use a junk account and fuck with him. Let him steal that fake PP account with $1 in it.

The yellow doesn't jive very well with using the "Sanctuary (Alt)" theme. But it did make me select/highlight it to read it, thus focusing more attention than I normally would have.

I figured it was a better color choice than the blue of your user name. I can't even read that without highlighting it with my mouse. Making it stand out was what I was after. I bolded it first but it just didn't show well.

That's another reason I don't like the default theme. There are two others can you can try if you want.
