Because, I don't know, it's trying to cater to a community that was split for a second time, driving off even more members and dividing the OG userbase even further. Many left with the downfall of Totse, most of them with the death of Zoklet. It's shit, but really, even visiting intosanctuary is just clinging to the last bit of (delusional) hope that this userbase will flourish again and relive its golden days. It won't.

I'm sorry but if other message boards can flourish, so can we.
A) Some message boards are successful. B) I have a message board. C) Therefore my message board will be successful.
We're talking about potential. Not exact future outcomes.
Potential achieves nothing unless something useful is done with it; based on its current trajectory do you think a 'flourishing' outcome is likely for Sanctuary?

Depends on what exactly you mean when you say "current trajectory."

I don't think those are the type of people we are looking for
As soon as i/we think of a slogan or tagline or something(even just a meme) I will start advertising

Aren't registrations closed at the moment? Would be utterly useless to advertise if nobody can join up.

I've pretty much given up. At first I thought this website could be better than zoklet, being a fresh start and all, but we've got the same people doing the same boring shit as we did back there. If I was 14 I might still stick around, but unfortunately I'm 24.

Facebook would give us exposure, but you're right.. by and large facebookers are retarded ultra sensitive pussies who couldn't handle the language here and would probably call the cops on Bad Ideas section. Fuck FB.. we aint that desperate.
We should advert on the deep web. More likely to get the quality contributors that we're looking for.

I was kidding. I don't think any advertising would be good, just not how you want to attract people. Plus our crowd probably all uses adblock, and do we want someone that couldn't figure out adblock. Quality content is the best way to get relevant people. Sure people post stupid shit, but I don't think its been too bad. There is a lack of quality posts more than there is an abundance of garbage.
The three problems I see are lack of users, inability to multiqoute, and too many sub forums. If people start posting cool stuff then it perpetuates.

I think you know what I mean: the way the userbase is overall responding to your actions as an admin e.g userbase size, posting habits, posting frequency, attitudes towards the staff, attitudes towards the site in general, and how you expect that to change, or not, over the next year.
Simply put, do you think the current state of Sanctuary indicates that it will 'flourish', i.e. grow and sustain a much larger userbase in the near future?

It's because the administration here gives even less of a shit than they did at Zoklet about what may or may not be best for the community.
People came here because of Totse2/Zoklet
People went to Totse2/Zoklet because of Totse
People went to Totse because it offered open discussion and exchange of ideas that allowed people the have the intelligent discussion that they couldn't have with their immediate peers because of social acceptance of the topic or lack of understanding.

Here Arnox can't handle the idea of a forum machine that's self handling self administating once theres a bunch of monitors its like he doesn't get that after a while the admin has to let the site be and not be so hands on, Arnox your child has grown it you have to let it go mang
