Yeah go to reddit to review to see if their legit. However, most of them, like 85% are scams so be careful. What are you trying to get? Bit coins is anonymous but there not safe because your money isn't protected. The seller can just take off with it and you'll be screwed.

As long as the vender is on a registered marketplace(Agora, Evolution, Andromeda etc.) there is a low chance of being scammed because of the market's escrow system. But still be careful and find a verified vender on deep web forums. DO NOT buy from a market with no escrow; it is a scam 99% of the time. The recommended way to buy bitcoin is to use a moneypak card on localbitcoins. Buy a really cheap ($100-$175) laptop and remove the HDD then boot Tails OS. Just google a tut on Tails for more info. Use a drop address and do everything from a public wifi hotspot.

I was thinking about buying some weed. I know to do research on the vendor. How safe is it if I just use tor on a windows operating system? I know a lot of people say to use tails. Also is PGP necessary? And would shipping it to my house be safe? Also whats the best way to get bitcoins? I'm planning on buying the bitcoins through paypal.

Go to a place with public Wifi and place the order. I'd also use a VPN to be safe. I'd learn PGP if I were you, not sure if you'll need it (I plan on making my first Darknet buy soon). D/L GPG4win. Reddit has a place where you can practice it buy sending encrypted messages with others. I'd find a drop, but if its a small amount, send it to your house with a different name. It's not like you have to sign for it or anything, so you should be fine. Buy the Bitcoins in cash on localbitcoins.com. You'll have to meet up with someone, but they won't know your name. If you do use PayPal to buy them, go to bitcoin fog and tumble them first. That'll pretty much negate the blockchain info. I think that's about it, let us know how it goes.

Those new to Virwox haave to wait 2 days to withdraw bitcoins but after 4-5 times it's instant. You now have bitcoins in a fake name untraceable to you, of course you should mask your IP (duh). Tails and PGP is only needed if your selling shit, small time buyers aren't the target for law enforcement. Agora is one of the most popular sites but there are loads. They used to have alist of them on the darknetmarkets subreedit but recently they removed it, anyway Google will give them to you no problem. Buy from people with hundres of feedback, just like eBay. If you plan on buying kilos of weed then use tails and PGP, otherwise don't worry about it.

In light of recent events, tails os is probably the only way to securely conduct darknet transactions if you're not tech savvy. Searching for tails os will alert the nsa's XKeyscore program though.
