Anyone ever take a job off craigslist? I'm currently unemployed and don't want to fuck up my resume anymore than it already is by taking a 'real' job and then quitting after two months because I get bored easily and like to switch things up.

I have, yes.
I get bored easily and like to switch things up.
eh.

Did you have to fish through a ton of scams, was the job at all shady?

Put that on your CV - Employers will love that your unreliable

Could try a temp agency. Friend of mine got this Summer job doing grounds keeping for the city and loved it. Basically had no boss, so he'd smoke weed all day and take in that lovely sun :)
They've got all kinds of jobs, but generally just give you whatever's available.

That's a good idea.

I use craigslist to find jobs all the time, and all of the jobs i have had aren't sketchy/shady at all
although you would tend to find mere jobs there instead of careers. if you want the really good ones you have to go to individual employers' websites.

I've gotten jobs off of CL before, but I was offering rather than searching. Mostly putting together IKEA, swingsets, playhouses, and some handyman work. I actually LOVE that stuff, and will do it cheap if I'm bored.

Ive managed to get a somewhat regular sign spinning job off of CL. It makes me 35 bucks, not that much but it's good weekend money i suppose.

The job I just got I found on Craigslist. A lot of them are legit, just email them your resume with a short message and wait for replies

I hope you don't have to wear a costume. I had to wear a bunny costume when I was a sign spinner, and I quit after a week. It was hot, it was smelly, and I got some sort of skin fungus from the damn thing that took a month's worth meds to get rid of.

No thank god i dont have to wear a costume, especially since i live in a desert. but it's pretty good weather for spinning right now though.
