Title: Found a pirate radio station using a disposable camera
Post by: Max Headroom on October 20, 2014, 02:02:13 pm
I made a capacitor bank from a bunch of disposable cameras and made a contraption by taping a bunch of wires from a small am/fm/wb radio I had and speaker, headphone can and pennies, I don't remember exactly but it was a few months ago, I wish I could find the damn thing, and ended up picking up signals from a frequency which turned out to be broadcast not even 600 feet away from my house, tl;dr a known whorehouse back in 1996 down the street that supposedly has been occupied by a "regular family" since 2003 is a crashpad with a pirate radio station.

You can't remember how to rebuild it?

Yes I'd like to learn as well, I'm guessing you had no way to know what the actual frequency bandwidth was? High frequency pirate radio in the US will certainly be shut down almost immediately.

First it was just a camera, then it's multiple cameras. Next, you can't remember where it is, and it happened months ago, but you're deciding to just now tell us about it vaguely.

Sounds legit.

How do you know the point of transmission is 600 feet away?

You can make gauss cannons out of used disposable cameras. Great way to destroy any electronics nearby though
