I'm currently looking for a high powered flashlight/spotlight, something close to $100. Right now im close to buying a Fenix TK32, an apparent 400 meters in a palm size flashlight. I dont really know much about them, any light junkies here than can tell me the best brand/light? you know i want that military grade shit

Got a sure fire.... Does what I need it to but it takes 3V batteries.

They last about 5 minutes or less. Then the battery is drained.
Get a large, hand held spotlight, if all you are after is a bright flashlight. You can also get them rechargable so you don't need to buy new batteries.
They will last for a much longer time, but they will not fit in your pocket.

The surefire? Because mines got the five LEDs in em and it's lasted me about a year of wandering around my place taking my dog out at night so he can use the can.

Oh you got a LED torch.
They last ages. They don't drain batteries.
I find them to be not so intensely bright though.
Like they are advertised as being mega bright, but when you use one, they look mega bright, and they are dazzling in intensity, but the distance you can light up with them is reduced.
I was talking about those super bright things that fit in the palm of your hand and can light up things over 100m away as if they were 10m away.

I use this:
http://www.amazon.com/Inova-X1DM-HB-Flashlight-White-Battery/dp/B004YI1T4K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1416013177&sr=8-2&keywords=inova+t4+flashlight
Tiny, and works great camping and stuff.

Mines got those super bright white LEDs in em... It's usually my go to flashlight when I'm shooting things at night and it usually lights things up at around 75-100 yards no problem.
