multiple alarms set?
i do this kinda dumb thing where if i have to wake at 7, i set one alarm for 6, another for 6 30, and then 7. i like the feeling that i "have more time" left to sleep when i hit the dismiss button at 6. by the time it's 7 i'm like, oh yeah, take that clock, i hit the dismiss button twice before having to wake up.
you guys?

I'm the same.

I do that shit on my phone too. I can't trust having one alarm set.
-
Someone should invent an alarm clock with a button that just delays the alarm for a predetermined period of time, allowing you to "snooze" if you will.
-
I have an alarm clock set for 5:30 and an alarm on my phone set for 5:37.
-
I just have one. It's one of those progressive ones that start quiet and increase in volume. I find it's a great way of not wanting to murder anyone when your alarm goes off.

I have a light alarm and a traditional noise alarm. The light alarm turns on and gradually gets brighter over the last half hour before the set time, then it beeps. The traditional noise alarm is there because the light alarm does not have a battery back up. If the power goes out in the middle of the night, the light alarm will lose its programming, but the noise one wont.

I use multiple alarms on my phone and a traditional beeping alarm clock. I've experimented with different combinations. Currently, my traditional alarm clock is set for 6:30, my first phone alarm is set for 6:30 with noise A, second phone alarm for 6:45 with noise B, third alarm for 7:00 with noise A.
I snooze on all of them until I get up around 7:10 or 7:15. Gotta leave by 7:30 (preferably earlier) to get to work by 8. Still working on the waking up on time thing.
-
I only set one, I don't have issues waking up to an alarm. I change it up, though, and use different (effective) alarm sounds periodically.
-
I used to turn my alarm off without even realizing it went off and then I'd wake up at 12:30 when I was supposed to be at work by 8am.
In my older age, I seem to be doing a lot better with that. Then again, I don't start work until 5pm these days.

I only use the one alarm. I have such a hard time falling asleep that if I tried to snooze a little longer, nothing would come of it. An early alarm just cuts that much out of my sleep.

@Ninja - That is why I always keep my alarm as far away from my bed as possible.
