Title: Best suppliments for drug users?
Post by: Dionysus on October 07, 2014, 03:27:33 am
Assuming you are a polydrug user who is on the frequent side of moderate or heavier, what kind of supplements are good to have around? Obviously eating and sleeping right are the best harm reduction, but so are not taking drugs at all.

Generally I am healthy and tend to have allot of short breaks from drugs, so I mostly take the supplements to optimize and potentiate rather than to reduce harm. At the moment I take B Complex's, Multivitamins and Magnesium and sometimes vitamin C. In a perfect world I would like a stockpile of nootropics, but that may have to wait. Beyond that, is there anything with a reasonable price range and accessibility that is recommended?

Vitamin D is generally a good idea, especially in these colder months. K2, iodine paint, choline.  If you eat meat you would do well to eat lots of quality gelatin, or make tons of bone/joint broth and eat is as frequently as possible.

Also should be eating 3 egg yolks a day or so.  And if you don't eat liver, consider supplementing copper.

Multivitamin is one of the best things you can do, along with getting that full-night's sleep, especially if your diet is lacking (particularly, meth users).

I have just recently acquired some pramiracetam, aniracetam, noopept, and some choline bitartrate. Definitely helps with the mental fog that is inevitable with frequent/binge drug use. I've since stopped using recreational substances (almost a month now) and I've noticed drastic improvement as far as focus and memory formation/recall is concerned (largely due in part to some anticholinergics I used in conjunction with recreational substances so the effect is compounded/synergistic).
