Working out of a distribution warehouse? lol I recognize the set-up. You a fork lift driver? It's not all that bad work.. a little dull and mundane sometimes. I worked the line, was a fork lift driver, and did receiving a certain points. All in all, gave it up. Hate working in a place without windows.. hate working mostly indoors about all together.

That's not really a fork it's a motorized pallet jack. Being a picker and packer can keep you on your toes, but hard work? I beg to differ.

Actually it is allowed. I was even told to record/take pictures if someone is in my way so that I can get approved for downtime.

That was the point of my thread.
But honestly, to achieve 100% at this place, you have to bust your ass. It's one of the hardest(physically) jobs I've had yet. The pay goes up to like $24 an hour, over the course of three years. But I want to go back to school.

I want to use my head to make a living, not my body. I like reading and learn more than I ever have before, so I figure this would be a good time to go. Maybe just an associates degree or a trade school. I know I won't make a lot, but the work life will be better.

Check out CLEP college credit. You take tests for around $80 a piece to, more/less.. test out of a college class and save a lot of money that would be otherwise used on tuition, books, and travel. Not to mention, if you manage to pass a test your saving yourself 3-6 months of going to a stupid class.. All the tests CLEP offers cover your basic courses.. but there's enough of them to earn the credit to receive an associates. The only catch, if you would even call it that, is that in order to get your degree.. you must take atleast one course from a college to finish your program and graduate because... you gotta graduate from somewhere right? So.. do your courses.. and then find the most prestigous college you can enrolled in which accepts their credits (and a lot of quality college accept these credits, because it was originally created for armed forces members), and get your degree.
Just something you might be interested in.. also, currently the path I'm taking.

Actually it's not. Way back when I worked at UPS, they pressured people to bend at the knees, and my supervisor would actually call people out on it. So I got used to bending at my knees. I also eat healthy, so my physical health is in really good condition compared to most of the people I have worked with.

You've got enough Java in you to get a intern role/junior role doing android development, which should pay 20$/h straight up, possibly even more. But then we wouldnt have entertaining and informative videos like this.

Fuck going back to school. It's a money scam. Keep working there, make $24 an hour, use your free time to learn new skills and improve yourself and then use all the money you have saved up to fucking do something. People graduating from college now can't even get jobs at fucking McDonald's. Please don't waste your time and money.
