I USED to have a pretty darn nice level 35 or so Spellsword going but that accidentally got deleted. Since then, I've been playing as an assassin with 100 Sneak and all the perks for it (by grinding mostly). That's been pretty fun actually.

I love TES games.. Skyrim being up there at the top. Had to pick up a new copy last month after losing my old one.. I had already cleared the game so I created a new character.. went Nord before, went Kajhit this time. Worth mentioning that I picked up the Legendary edition so I have the expansion packs and the ability to roll over my skills for infinite leveling. I think the last I checked, I was around level 45 or so.. I know for a fact that I lvl'd smithing over 100 twice, and pickpocket once.. Bows are the current weapon of choice.. Mostly been going around and exploring Solestheim... collecting ingredients (have the perk were I get extra quantity).. Havent played it in a few weeks, but I really only get my gaming on in the winter months.. when there is little left to do outside.

You can just grind sneak. Even if you can't usually close for the kill at lower levels the approach is worth enough experience that grinding though a few dungeons will level you up enough to start getting that oversized sneak-kill XP bounty. If you don't like grinding pick up the muffle spell. It's a lot of magicka for a non-spell caster but you get a level-per-cast for like 20 levels of illusion and 2-per for a while after that. It boosts your sneak enough to be able to get sneak kills with only racial/start bonuses. It's crazy powerful after you get sneak to like 50, I ended up one-shotting that final lich you have to fight in the MQ with my assassin character. You can also blitz dungeons with a high-sneak character faster than any other class.

^^^ Similar to what I do.. Sneak + Bow.. I would try Sneak + Dagger x2, but I'm currently wearing Ebony Mail so.. close quarters gives me away.

I've been considering doing another character, it's been a good while. I always have existential anxiety over this though and can't settle on a race. I feel like nord is the "correct" race. I also feel obligated to conjure up backstories. I'd type my last one out were I own a computer.

Nord Pride World Wide. Fuck those filthy Khajiit.

I like the Nord Race.. In Morrowind, I went Dark Elf and then Nord, funny now that I think about it as those 2 races did relate to the continent and the expansions. However, in Oblivion I played a Wood Elf, Orc, and Argonian.. Never played as an Altmer, Imperial, Redguard, or Breton.. just never interested me.

I think I played every race in morrowind, just because I've played an absurd amount of that game.
I'm always bummed out that the best melee races, orc and redguard, are both so aesthetically displeasing. I like dark elves but the bonuses are always set up for a spellsword which is a class that's never really worked out in any of the TES games. Nords were a good choice in Skyrim because of that frost resist and the fact that you take a disproportionate amount of frost damage. Khajiit was a terrible race because there's no more athletics (which was their main draw in previous games) and their main perk was the extra unarmed damage in a game where unarmed has been nerfed into oblivion (no pun intended).

Do you truly give a fuck about bonuses in skyrim? I mean it's too easy to just become a jack if all trades, race matters so little save for things like disease resistance and night vision which you can get anyway by other means. Race was always aesthetic to me in skyrim.

Daedric weapons isn't where the moneys at in Skyrim, it's in the combination of the Alchemy and Mercantile skills.. You just need to get enough cash to go around and continuously buy the alchemy ingredients in all the shops by hopping around, mass crafting, and then mass sell one potion at a time to raise mercantile.. Raise mercantile till you get the perks where you can invest in stores and sell any and stolen items to any vendor.. Raise your alchemy and pretty soon your loaded with potions weighing .1 worth from 500-1000 gold that you can sell to any vendor.. Once your rolling in dough, hop around and mass buy all blacksmith materials from all the blacksmiths and store your hoard in your whiterun house.. when you feel satisfied, power level your smithing.. pretty efficient really. You can always switch back and forth between the two and doing one all the way to 100 does take a little time.. you kind of have to change it up or else its draining and takes fun out of the game.

Skyrim only becomes really fun with mods. Imp's More Complex Needs and Frostfall are obligatory. Some kind of hardcore combat mod as well.
Then I set roleplaying rules for myself. Last time I played a bosmer. Bosmer are strictly carnivorous. Therefore, no plant-based clothing or (if possible) weapons allowed. Bosmer only eat animal products and the bodies of the enemies they killed. Believe me, the game is way more fun that way.

Dafuq!? I had to look that up to verify.. Never had a clue. But that is kinda badass. I more/less assumed as a Wood Elf they were common omnivores.. Learn something new everyday.
