Title: Someone stole my credit card and used it to purchase digital content...
Post by: BlackPride on October 01, 2014, 09:28:04 pm
Can he be traced? I think he purchased adult media. Will the police monitor the IP addresses used to log into the account?

This happened to my ex (minus the porn part) and all they did was refund her money, only because her card had that feature.  I bet the cops won't even look for you....err I mean the person who stole the card.

Well damn it, I bet that low-life POS is having a "blast" right now. What gives me hope that he can be traced is this message placed in the transaction portion of the site: "This transaction is monitored by MicroFraud Anti Fraud Service. Your connection info: IP *********** has been logged with this transaction."

I think he used the WIFI at a fast food restaurant for the transaction, but I'm curious whether the this institution (MicroFraud) might care to go so far as to monitor the IP when the sicko logs in within the privacy of his home.

But then the privacy policy of the website states: "the IP address used to access the site will be logged along with the dates and times of access. This information is purely used to analyze trends, administer the site, track users movement and gather broad demographic information for internal use. Most importantly, any recorded IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information."

So I don't know what to believe.

Unless you are an important 'somebody', they will probably not do anything.  I had my car stolen and the cops didn't do anything other than collude with a corrupt towing yard to fleece me out of money.  I had to pay to get my own car out of impound after it was recovered.   No one cares and nothing will be done about it, so you are pretty much on your own unless you had some sort of 'insurance' on your card.

Who was it that caught you visiting naughty sites? Your mom?

You should work on your story a little better. Its not very convincing

I think you've misunderstood my situation. Someone stole my credit card info and used it to visit a "naughty site." I'm hoping that that is all they will be using it for.

One time I literally bought a lumina minivan with for the sole purpose of stashing drugs in it and doing heat stuff with it. I parked it in someones parking lot in a random building and everytime I came back I would see more and more notices to move it or it'd get towed and eventually it did and I really didn't care

If thats the best ending for a burn mobile you can come up with you need to stop by the store and pick up a sense of adventure

Before it got stolen, this burgundy chrysler minivan had a window broken by a drunk neighbor, and I never fixed it and stray cats would piss in there and it would randomly just die and you had to restart it.  Whoever stole it got so pissed at how much of a piece of shit it was, that when it was found it had all the heating and AC vents bashed in and the seats and dashboard were all slashed up with a knife or something.

Lol, we used to beat the shit out of dodge shadows they'd leave you so frustrated. Easiest car to steal in the world when you're a drunk teen with a flathead but fuck, you can take them off roading, they look shitty and heat, they're loud as hell and slow, fuck, just basically the worst.

I never really liked stealing cars myself, just mostly went along with people for shitz and stuff, The best car we ever stole was a dodge stratus, lol

I find the sense of humor on this website most fascinating. I wouldn't be mistaken now would I, if I believed that these tall tales you're all sharing are part of an imaginative atmosphere you long to create, wherein we're all hooligans and ruffians battling the scourge of moral decency and righteousness? I am correct, am I not?

If so, I best pick an alter ego. I will think of one soon and keep you informed.

Because within the pit of your soul, you know that it is the right thing to do.
