I'm just gonna put the status everything that's needs to be done here. Discuss what you like.
Advertising: Currently assigned to everyone actually but Arnox will do a good chunk of it. Has been put on hold.

I'm tinkering with UnrealIRC on my Pi. I spent most of the other day gutting it of unnecessary programs and getting it updated and the IRC stuff installed. I still have to configure it and make it more secure, but I'll get more time to do that when finals are over.

Is it possible to change the color scheme of the text in the code tags? Light grey on off white is very hard to read...

I looked in the theme index file, and even though I saw hex values for color for the background of the Code block, it didn't seem to want to change from white. I looked for it everywhere else but couldn't find it.

What exactly is involved in the textfiles project? Just scraping the old forums and transferring them or actually working on implementation of a dedicated textfile section?

Well, peskybear wanted to round up as many texts from as many of the totse archives as possible using a program. What we could do with them though is up for debate.

because it wasnt an eagle. it looked more like a nigger pigeon that had just been scraped out of the radiator after being hood-ornamented by a semi going full throttle down the highway.

Regardless of how you or I feel about it, the community has spoken against it, so we can't use it.

Bump. I've updated the list so we now have a clear idea of what's going on.

I think having a Textfile section is a great idea. It was something I tried over and over again to lobby over at &Z. While there is nothing wrong with compiling old write ups from the previous boards, a lot of that information is well outdated and practically useless... not all of it, but most. If anything, now would be a good time to individually pick articles we liked and reference them for new write ups pertaining to that specific subject. I originally came to &T in my youth to read about all the genius and incredibly simple scams to make life easier.. While my interest have changed and matured, it still stands to reason that we need solid content here.. Write ups will get us attention from search engines and bring users in. When they realize there is a board here, they will be curious and inclined to sign up. As long as you can appeal to them that this board has tone or open-ended mentality not found elsewhere.. you'll have them hooked.

We should pretend to be ISIS members planning an ebola attack. Just throw up a bunch of arabic lettering all over the place, crescents, animated rolling heads and I'll change my name to EbolaCola and we can create a fake news site and do a expose on how ISIS is planning to launch Ebola attacks by putting the virus in diet sodas so all the fatties will have to drink water instead. We start a viral campaign on FB, linking to the fake news article, which itself links to these forums (the ISIS cell responsible for the attacks). Maybe somewhere along the way we can collect emails and credit card numbers and shit too! That's how the government does that shit anyway and look at the audience they have, lol!
