Title: Redbox acting up
Post by: SBTlauien on September 21, 2014, 05:55:24 am
I was at a RedBox machine not to long ago and someone must have been doing some maintenance on it from the RedBox headquarters.  I was able to view what they were doing and took a few pictures.  Maybe this can help someone that's trying to find a way to tamper with these machines.

Nah, that's just hardware manager and the installed software. Nothing of much value for cracking the machine.

But it could possibly give someone some insight.

I'd have rather seen the screen under the Windows interface.

i cant imagine what would be the use in going after one of those machines.  the only thing in them is a bunch of old DVDs that are scratched to hell.

i have pics somewhere of the internals of one of those things if theyre of interest to anyone

Used video games can net up to $30 cash.  If someone found a way to trick the machine into spitting out a bunch of video games, machine after machine, then acquired/printed the booklet, then ordered a bunch of blank cases, they could make a lot in a short amount of time.
