winzip wants me to pay for it, ive never had to before so i aint going to to haha
i was just wondering if any off you's knew a good free zip file opener?

WinRAR is fast, easy to use, and can open and unzip all archive types.

yeah go with 7zip, it's the lightest of the lot and integrates neatly into the shell context menus, along with support for just about every archive format around (used to need modules from winrar for rar files, but not anymore).
if you're on lunix, you can just use 'zip' and 'unzip'

Don't forget the ability to add or remove files within a zip without unzipping. I'm not sure if WinZip or Winrar have that functionality, but I've always like the convenience that with 7zip.
