Title: All good things must come to an end.
Post by: Ninja on September 17, 2014, 05:35:23 am
I'm really sad.  For the past 6 months I've been living out of a 100 SQFT office and it's been great.  I'm only paying $235 a month, which includes electricity and internet.  The cheapest apartment in my area is like $600 a month. It's centrally located and I have a bicycle I ride all around and I'm right next to the grocery store and the beer distributor and a thing where I can fill up a jug of water for a quarter.  Plus, it is awesome not having neighbors.

Unfortunately, they finally realized that I was living here and gave me 30 days notice.

I'm pretty much broke and was barely getting by with this place...   My monthly income at this point is between $400-550 a month depending on the amount of hours I get at my job.  There is really no way I can afford to get a place or even room with someone...  Tomorrow I'm going to go to the local boxing gym, because the owner rents rooms above the gym and I'm gonna see if he has anything available and see if he'll let me go to the gym as well.

Why can't I live out of an office? This was one of the coolest places I've lived and it really suited my lifestyle.  I was helping the environment and reducing my footprint and all that happy horseshit.  Then these fuckers want to throw me out on the street when I'm just trying to live and not murder people!

That does suck.

Maybe try to find another office space and rent it out but make a more conscious effort to conceal the fact that you are actually living there.

I feel your rage. I just don't understand bureaucracy bullshit like that.

Good luck fighting the system.

Argue that you're not living there and leave at 5pm go drinking for a few hours, return, repeat

They probably saw him coming and going on the camera system.  Hard to argue with that.

Wondering this too? It actually seems like a decent accommodation. Why not just find another office?

So, what, no one thinks it is likely that they saw him on camera coming and going at 'residential' rather than 'business' hours, like I posted above, or do none of yall motherfuckers bother to read a thread?  It has to be one or the other.....

It could've been security cameras if you ask me.

I think so too, reason being....even if he took all other precautions to conceal the fact that he lived there, he would still be seen coming and going on camera.  Therefore, unless he was totally careless, that is the most likely scenario.

Ninja how old are you? If there is a college around where you live especially a large one, I suggest you look around for rooms that are being rented out to students. I managed to find a room for under $300 with internet and free laundry + some utilities I have to pay. I'm not going to school right now but I can pass as a college student and it's not like they check to verify with the school.  It took a bit of looking around to find this great deal cause most were 300-400+. Check on craigslist or walk around to find for rent signs. If you have the skills ask if they give reduced rent for maintenance on the house, some ads actually advertise that.Where do you currently work and how many hours a week?  Maybe try getting a second job?
