any politician the voted to allow the US to be without a manned space program and become dependent on the russkies should be charged with treason

Yeah I can't understand it:

We got to the Moon first
We have the worlds most advanced economy
We live in an extremely comfortable society with TV, refrigeration, internet, cars, holidays, consumer goods etc


The Russians massed militarily with the objective of killing us
They tried to destroy our economy
They tried to destroy our society by supporting terrorist groups such as the Viet Cong and subversive left wing radicals

and....

We let them ferry us in to space. It makes no sense. Especially when the Moon is an object of pride.
