Title: Planescape Torment
Post by: Dionysus on September 15, 2014, 07:25:15 am
Its the best game in the world and I wish I could get amnesia so I could play it again fresh. Playing through that game is the equivalent of reading the opus magnus of a significant existentialist philosopher, except more fun. Can anyone recommend anything similar?

Yeah it is probably the pinnacle of story in a video game and certainly the best RPG ever made. Did you know they're making a sequel called Torment: Tides of Numenera? Pretty exciting.

Similar games, there's the obvious other infinity engine games like BG series and IWD. Nothing really comes close to the depth of the story in Planescape but Arcanum is probably the closest thing, has a great story and really cool unique steampunk fantasy setting.

Haven't had the chance to play this game even though everyone keeps saying how amazing the story is.

And still no love for Neverwinter Nights? C'mon guys.
