?
will the small ones run enough to cool the vapour for reasonable amounts ? would like to use glass instead of 10ft of copper pipe becuase eventually you have to steam vinegar through it to clear out all the shit that the copper shits out
what size graham condenser would all da birds reccomend?

i dont really know alot about distilling alcohol unfortunately, but as for the condensor i would say go with 300mm standerd, and for distilling alcohol you might get away with saving money and buying a liebig condensor. i know for a fact that you can distil using glass so no worries there. Also i think ebay sells pre made distillation kits for cheap if you look.

a straight condensor would take forever

yah it was just a thought. also, if you have the money for it you should probably buy a 500 mm grahm, the 300 actually might be to small

graham condensers aren't good for high throughput distillations or for low volatiles like ethanol. They will clog up fast and create pressure that slows down the boiling. For a 3 liter vessel a 300mm water cooled liebig would work fine, or a vigreux if you want to get it more concentrated. Go bigger if you're doing many liters.
If you get a liebig condenser with the indentations at the bottom, you can pack it with beads or metal wool to make it work as a fractioning column.
