Best TV show is a tough call, I can't say I'm well enough informed on what makes a great show to really say. Breaking Bad was very well aimed at the social issues it covered in its run. Malcolm In The Middle set a precedent for shows that aren't annoying as fuck, being the first popular sitcom to omit a laugh track. I think the X-Files is a timeless show, being that it isn't hip to the times during which it was filmed but incorporates themes that can be related to on many levels.

Well lately I've been watching a lot of Bojack Horseman seriously one of the best shows along with Archer, and then Rick and Morty. Should they still be called TV shows? More like Web shows

Oh yeah I was thinking about watching some of Nouakchott horseman is it any good
You'll enjoy watching BoJack Horseman. The first episode doesn't do the show any justice, but I guess it's just to introduce the characters. I promise you the second episode will really get you into the show.

Probably a little cliche but The Walking Dead, Trailer Park Boys, American Horror Story (first season was particularly good)..
Favorite show on the box? How the fuck has no one mentioned Game of Thrones!?!? Hands down my favorite Tv show at the current time, and only unfortunate that the next season doesn't start till spring next year.
Most television shows are shit though, and I dont have cable or anything like that.. so I get my stuff by the season or I don't watch it at all. Besides American Horror Story, currently getting the new episodes as they come..

I don't really watch a lot of new tv shows but yes I do enjoy The Walking Dead, American Horror Story and Game of Thrones. I also have started Breaking Bad in the past and never got past the first episode, I still plan on trying it out through. I watched the second season of Son of Anarchy which wasn't bad and a couple episodes of Rick and Morty (which was crazy but interesting).

I started watching the first season this month and believe it will be good. I have only got past the first episode but plan to sit down one day and have a marathon so that I can really get into it.

I've been watching Hannibal. I'm amazed that something that fucked up is even on broadcast tv.
I'm really loving Orphan Black, and I think that Tatiana Maslany, is probably the greatest actress on television right now. She's too good for the show she's on, but no one else could pull off playing a half dozen different character like that.

I had actually forgotten about SOA. I havent watched much of it, but what I have managed to catch, it seems badass. I think it's currently in it's final season? I prefer to watch my shows straight through if I can anyways.. long drawn out breaks often makes me over critical of the new seasons quality over the last. I don't get that analytical if I go straight on through.
About Mad Men, this is another one I recently picked up. I watched the first episode just to see what I would be getting into, and whilst it wasn't bad.. a far cry from what I was expecting considering all the rave reviews.. Then again, its hardly wise to judge a whole show based on the first episode.. I'm certain it'll have to get better.. I really like the time period it portrays and have high expectations.. just hope this one doesn't let me down.

Mad Men is pretty great, but it's a straight up drama, and that's not for everyone.

Atleast, I should have a better time enjoying it now that I know ahead of time.
I seen where someone mentioned Vikings and BlackSails. I watched the first few episodes of Vikings and enjoyed it, but never made it past.. episode 3 I think? I liked the environment, the ideal, the whole way they presented the period.. idk, the story or the characters just weren't there. I may have been too harsh too fast.
Havent watched BlackSails, but I seen the commercial a long time back when we was over at the in-laws. Definitely looked worth of giving a try. I watched two episodes of Davincis Demons but never progressed.. honestly cant remember it, and I may have been stoned.

The U.S. version of Shameless is amazing. I didn't try watching the British version until after I'd fallen in love with the US, and now it seems impossible to get into the British version :/
Why does America always pick better looking actors? Maybe a question for the humanities forum lol.

I wasn't impressed by the first episode, even the first season isn't that great. But imo it turns into a great show. Lots of crazy stuff happens.

Yea I just downloaded the first season of SOA so I need to go back and watch it before going on to the the newer stuff. What I've watched of Mad Men don't seem bad but I have read the it is a lot of drama, not my fav types of series but I'm still going to give it a try... I think it will still be good.

I have the first two seasons of Vikings but still haven't finished watching the first season. It's not that I don't like it but that I just haven't had a lot of time to sit down and focus on it. Black Sails I have been dying to see!

Anything on NATGeo.. I love watching and learning about the complex relationships and sub-ecosystems that exist within this world. And some animals, are just so amazing with their peculiar qualities.. Currently watching (err.. listening) to an episode and there is a certain viper that produces venom that will easily kill a human, and yet a mongoose 1/3rd the size of a dachshund is immune to it because of a built up tolerance over time..
Thinking about that, it reminds me of people who use bee stings to help with a plethora of health issues and how after a while they build a tolerance to it. I wonder (and I'm sure there probably are) if there are just random everyday people out there who practice such things to build tolerances to.. snake venom.. bee stings.. ant stings.. ect.. Not particularly to achieve some sort of health benefit, but just because they can.. Its obvious that when practiced over time, besides personal tolerance.. it can lead to immunity being passed down through offspring.. Kids dont even go outside to play anymore.. with that in mind, humans are likely to become a shitty weak species that relies on its technology over real organic fortitude.

My parents made me go outside, and told me not to come in until it started to get dark. I even had to drink out of the spigot. It was fucking great.

My childhood was playing in a creek, and continuously exploring it in both direction.. setting up forts made of brush, collecting rocks ( what I presumed was fossils), digging may apple (thought it was ginseng.. I was a kid), and generally getting scrapped, bruised, cut, stung, dirty, and you know what.. I'm all the better for it. I loved my childhood, you couldn't make me stay in doors. And its strange because I do enjoy my technology as far as how much information it allows me to access.. but.. idk.. I'm pessimistic unless we curve this over reliance, or find a way to better balance our relationship between technology and nature.

The Wire 6 Feet Under Deadwood
Didn't even have to think about that for 2 seconds, those are the best written and intently satisfying tv shows I have ever watched, there are only 2 or 3 more I would even consider putting in that class.

Can't believe no one mentioned Prison Break. Definitely the most suspenseful show I ever watched. A close second is Trailer Park Boys but that's more of a laugh fest rather than a serious show, definitely both are worth the watch.

If any of you want a great comedy to watch, you gotta check out "The League" on FXX Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. EST. They are already on season 4 or 5, but you can catch up watching the older seasons on Netflix.
Its very racy and very off the wall.....lot of sex and drugs subject matter, and no topic is too taboo. The sub-plot is based around a handful of guys that are really into fantasy football and all the mayhem they get into trying to beat each other in that endeavor. But that is really only an ancillary part of the episodes, more like filler/common theme between every episode....where each individual story is so raw and crazy its almost like a South Park come to life considering the zany shit these guys get into.

Are you fucking kidding me? I'm generally not one to bag on someone else's opinion, but I'm calling bullshit on this right here. It was interesting for two seasons, then it shat the bed, and spent 6 seasons rolling around in the mess. All leading up to what is almost certainly the worst and stupidest series finale in television history.

If you disregard the harbour season. I would rather have another highrise one.
Are you saying season 2 was bad...? You need to rewatch man, season 2 is one of the highest in terms of writing and whatnot. Fuck the people who couldn't get over the ghetto switch, Frank Sobotka was a fucking legend.

I've been watching Damages recently, just finished season 3. It wasn't very popular, probably because if you missed a single episode, you're left with no idea what the hell is going on. Legal drama, with a surprisingly high body count. Amazing cast, just packed with award winners.
