How many of you believe in actual Climate Change vs Propaganda?
- Coffee has not yet began brewing. Those two words are important!
-
I believe in climate change...its a fact
Its also a fact that humanity has little to nothing to do with it occurring but the corpocracy is using it as a scam to fleece people out of money
-
How many believe in actual Climate Change vs Propaganda?
What do you mean?
Some believe it's all propaganda.
Some believe it's all real.
Some believe something in the middle.
The climate is changing though.

It is real but it is being hijacked to serve an agenda because the sheep are too stupid to realize theyre being fleeced. Or....they know they are but dont care

The "of you" got skipped in my original typing.

Conspiracy, not fact. Do you really think all those scientists are duping the public in order to benefit some corporate master?
Also, it's not like there isn't any evidence linking climate change to human emissions. This article came out only recently:
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2212096314000163
"The results of our statistical analysis would suggest that it is highly likely (99.999 percent) that the 304 consecutive months of anomalously warm global temperatures to June 2010 is directly attributable to the accumulation of global greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The corollary is that it is extremely unlikely (0.001 percent) that the observed anomalous warming is not associated with anthropogenic GHG emissions. Solar radiation was found to be an insignificant contributor to global warming over the last century, which is consistent with the earlier findings of Allen et al. (2000)."
-
The climate changes every fucking day. All this BS pseudo-science is just a bunch of government propaganda and faggot scientists who suck government dick. The ice age is coming! Global Warming, suck my warm cock!
-
... 304 consecutive months of anomalously warm global temperatures ...
Ok, but if that isn't that a change in the regular pattern of variation in temperature and other meteorological variables, then what is?
-

Not quite sure what point you're trying to make.

Yes. Yes, I do. Science has become a religion of cock sucking government/corporate fags.
-
Well, I'm convinced.
-
The simple truth is that someone said, "Hey, let's look at 100 years of limited data and use computers to model it against infinitesimal possibilities over the last few million years and then come up with a model, that only works if we distort the initial data and then the answer is 42."
-
That's exactly how science works.

The climate changed.

It should be called "man made climate change" and that doesn't even encompass it. If you think CO2 emissions won't cause a problem you're an idiot. The biggest problem is the sea level rising though which nobody likes to talk for some reason. It's hard to imagine we're due for another "naturally occuring meteorological event" when we just had one a few thousand years ago. Couldn't possibly have to do with the unnatural chemicals we've been refining and leaking into the world the last few decades right?
Sure, some environmentalists are idiots, some are intolerable and some are after a quick buck but the fact remains that man made climate change is occuring

Actually, that's not a fact. All signs point to solar patterns that causes climate change on numerous planets. Do you think the aliens are causing the climate change on Mars? It's all a bunch of BS. They claim Global Warming, until its proven that the climate is actually cooling and then they come up with Heinz 57 reasons WHY the climate is experiencing a temporary hiatus... The point is, none of these "experts" have a fucking clue what they're talking about. They're all just trying to maintain funding from their corporate and government masters so they don't become some irrelevant fuckwad who ends up homeless for backing the wrong science!

Only because you are a cocksucker of the system. Explain why me citing other planets makes me look dumb? Because, shit is happening all around us, without our direct influence, suddenly, I am patently ridiculous?

other planets have no biosphere, entirely different atmospheres, entirely different compositions and no fucking people running around. There are no people on those planets studying them 24/7 and none on earth who all got together in a giant fucking moneygrabbing conspiracy to fake the totally unreasonable conclusion that a species changing, refining and wasting the elements of the earth is going to have some discernible effects on the planet after a while. I know it's a fucking crazy idea isn't it? Really a lot to grasp, I know but I think it would stand to reason that resources are both finite and can be misalocated into other forms and parts of the biosphere that can cause damage to the species.
Smarten the fuck up, does that sound like a massive global conspiracy or common fucking sense?

Sounds like a bunch of government sponsored fucktards are running this world into the ground!

Oh wait, they did....

Do you think the aliens are causing the climate change on Mars? It's all a bunch of BS.
One of the fundamental problems with the study of man-made global warming is that there is no real-time control, i.e. an exact replica of Earth minus humans to compare it to. This problem is not resolved by comparing Earth to Mars.

I'm not.

It's not something you need to believe in when it's happening right before many eyes

It's not something you need to believe in when it's happening right before many eyes
So do you believe it is caused by humans or is a long planetary cycle that we don't know about?

There are necessarily cycles, and 7 billion members of a species can't not have an impact. A necessary combination exists. If the cycle naturally went another direction, a simple shift in any one component or a big enough mixture can cause a total systematic transformation. Civilization could also be a catalyst to the natural cycles, bringing them to extremes.
When any sample of the Pacific contains plastic and the air quality for entire US states can be generalized, our impression upon the planet becomes obvious.

yes
there are countless examples of so-called scientists fudging their results to receive more funding. scientists/researches entire premise to exist is depending on other people donating money to their cause (research) and they know this when they fill out the results section of their paperwork at the end of the research

That would suggest a global conspiracy to commit scientific fraud. Do you have any evidence of this?
-
Not necessarily. Couldn't it be a global coincidence?

Where does coincidence factor into the reports of bodies like the IPCC?

My point is that for an organization like the IPCC, producing reports on global warming that are primarily designed to ensure continued funding rather than openly discussing valid data would require a very large degree of collusion. Hence my comment about conspiracy to commit mass scienitific fraud regarding global warming.

...but the IPCC does discuss valid data? It's just hard when there's so much privately funded and therefore inherently biased research that it has to be picked through. They've compiled plenty of plans and lists of suggested actions, but carbon fuels are so instilled into our civilization that timely change becomes impossible without the fall of some company, and the resulting loss of livelihood for tens of thousands of people.

To clarify re: IPCC, if they didn't discuss valid environmental data it'd probably be due to a massive conspiracy given the size of the organization.

Hey, let's chemically and biologically alter all spheres of a planet and then make the ridiculous claim that there might be some sort of reaction from this because preventing human development and progress is where the real money is
What's your sea level temperature?
