think i made this thread on zoklet a while back. was reminded of it b/c i kinda liked eating this weird thing today where i warmed up grain bread, put on some blue cheese sauce whipped up quickly and the best batch of kimchi my ma made. it tasted so good, but probably sounds so nasty describing it.
what are odd combo of things you like to eat?

A friend introduced me to putting peanut butter on pizza rolls a couple years ago. It sounds disgusting, but it's actually fairly good.
-
hot chocolate with butter
brownies made with heavy cream and while theyre cooling, a full stick of butter melted on it
-
When I was a kid, I remember liking tuna and peanutbutter together.
-
Roast with french dressing
-
The weirdest thing I can think of is maple syrup on salmon filets though it's not that weird as it's a sort of glaze.
-
When I was younger I remember eating pineapples with ketchup, however now that I'm older I can't stand the thought of it. Now the weirdest combos that I eat (which really aren't too weird) are grapes and cheese, and putting ranch dressing on my spaghetti.

Here's something for you to try: Fry or bake some thin rashes of fatty bacon until they've got dat crisp. Don't fret on wasting good bacon by cooking it crisp, you're better off not using smoke cured for this sandwich. While that's on the go, cut two fresh slices from a loaf of light to medium rye and toast just enough to give them a little rigidity, enough to produce that gentle slight crusty crunch when bitten into. Knife in hand still, cut half a dozen red table grapes into thick slices, and carve off some of a firmer variety of blue cheese. When the bacon's done, throw all the ingredients between the two slices of toasted rye and find a quiet place to slowly enjoy the everloving fuck out of one of the greatest sandwiches you'll ever consume.
Fresh cut rye from a bakery works best but can be substituted if you are unable to get your hands on some. It is imperative that you use red table grapes and a firmer blue, though.

That actually sounds pretty good. The only thing that may get me is the blue cheese. I'm not a huge fan of the taste but I could see how it would work with the bacon and grapes. And of course rye bread is pretty awesome, I have even made my own rye bread once before... nothing better then fresh made bread.

As I said in some nutrition-y thread, I sometimes like to add a good amount of butter (tablespoon, maybe more) to a cup of coffee. Used to drink this daily.

Does it not make it a lil greasy? That would really be my only concern, also do you add anything else to it?
-
Makes it like creamy and delicious. No I didn't add anything else. Well sometimes a bit of coconut milk but usually no.

Sounds like it could be good... I watch a lot of bizarre foods so I feel you should try a lil of everything once, beside it don't sound that weird....
-
Honestly it isn't that weird. Can be downright healthy if done right.

Makes for another good reason to try it.

Do you use virgin coconut oil or a processed MCT oil in your coffee?
-
I do the same, instead I adding milk I add salt reduced butter and coconut oil.
I tried coconut oil instead of butter a couple times but it made it gross somehow. The oil wouldn't mix in like butter does and would always stay at the top so had to stir before each sip, and even then it was kind of... not right, somehow?
How much butter and coconut oil were you using?
-
I used to eat cookies and queso a lot when I was still smoking pot every damn day.

Never did the MCT thing. Seemed so unnecessary :P

I know this isn't a weird combo but has anyone ever wanted to try to eat bugs? I have seen online where you can buy chocolate covered ants and other things like that.
-
I dont know if it's really weird or not.. I certainly think it is, but somehow my fiance just loves grape jelly on her chicken biscuit.. lol.. I make fun of her all the time for it. Idk, I personally don't understand it.. the flavors don't work for me, but maybe she's not alone on enjoying it.

mmmmm as a kid....peanutbutter and tuna.
oops didn't realize i posted in here already
