both.  they have their place in different settings.  like...driving at night in a car (as a passenger) a magazine or book isnt going to be much good with no light.  the electronic device with its lighted screen wins.

having magazines or books sitting in the bathroom is nice when you dont want to bring in something electronic.  same with going out on a boat.

I don't have any problem reading off of a conventional laptop or phone screen, so I haven't bothered with a reader. usually its by circumstance, whatever medium I can find what I want, I read.

Having a physical copy is pretty nice, better than having to rely on batteries in order to do something we've been doing for centuries is kind of silly to me. I understand the concept of having thousands of books in one spot though, which does break the viability of paper.

Apples to Oranges I say...

I love physical copies but for some nonfiction books, I like to have them in digital format.

I don't have an e-reader but I'm also not opposed to them, it's just that there's so many good books being literally or almost given away in local classifieds, gumtree, house clearances... and then you've got charity (thrift) shops here packed to the ceiling with books offering everything for 10p each and then buy ten, get ten free in some cases. Since I only read at home books don't really have any downsides either.

yeah but then see some one with a e-reader i find it boring, i like seeing someone with a book you get a gadge off that person, like 50- shads there going to have an open mind on abit off bondage  and you might(if you got balls) to start a conversation with new person on common ground with a e- reader you walk right past plus i dont think meny poeple have been mugged for a book  :)

Im all about paper as well. It just makes sense to not have to rely on batteries to access information or entertainment. Having said that e readers do have their place and are nice for the fact that they can hold tons and tons of information so in the end each has their place.

paper all the way, read a few books on a nook, and found it to be less satisfactory, I like to see how far I am in the book by touch and sight rather than a number on a screen.
