I've been looking for this for a bit. Basically, what I wanted was something as strong as bleach but also something that wouldn't take the color out of fabrics at all. What I found for it actually surprised me a little.
So what did I find? Well, this stuff (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OxiClean).
Yeah, that's right. That stuff Billy Mays was screaming at you to buy way back in the day. In essence, it's actually very basic. All it is is sodium percarbonate. You could easily make it at home by combining one parts hydrogen peroxide and baking soda with two parts of water. And the cheaper brands are just as good so you don't need to spend a lotta money on the brand name.
The only thing it doesn't seem great for, as a matter of fact, is getting out synthetic substances like motor oil or ink. But anyway, now you can use bleach without actually using bleach.

For grease or oil stains try Lestoil. Just a small amount on the stain and rub in. Works Great!!

And I am amazed at how well oxy-clean works some times, against my better judgement (of which I have none) I bought a sand colored fleece pullover a while back, because it was on sale at too good a price to pass up. Well days later my drunk ass gets red wine all over the front on it. I thought it was fucked, but remembering my roommate buys oxy clean for the laundry. I was actually amazed it worked like on the commercials.

youre not supposed to use bleach on colors anyways. using bleach has the added benefit of helping sterilize (not literally sterilize...but does kill a significant amount of microorganisms) whatever youre washing
generally detergent does fuck-all to kill microorganism and its up to the high-temp drying cycle to do so but ive found that bleach is less damaging and stressful to laundry than excessive drying times/temperatures. since ive started using more bleach (10.5%...the professional strength version) and low-heat on the dryer, the elastic waistbands on my underwear has lasted a lot longer.

Well, actually I wasn't interested in this merely for laundry as much as I was interested in general cleaning. Bleach and bleach solutions can splash onto your clothes when cleaning which is less than optimal.

anyone that isnt capable of performing a simple cleaning task without making a mess out of it...including their own clothes...can either wear clothes that they dont care about messing up or not do something that is so complicated that they and their clothes are at such a dangerous risk
i generally use a 10.5% solution of bleach with about a 75% water to 25% bleach and i spray that shit everywhere. countertops...tub...shower curtains...toilet...bugs...and i never have any problems damaging my clothes or anything else for that matter. i use a diluted solution of about a half cup of bleach to a sinkful of water to disinfect dishes.
every once in awhile i get a wild hair up my ass and make a nuclear solution of bleach with a powdered 'pool-shock' sodium hypochlorite. that shit smells awesome. i use it on my roof, driveways, outside walls, and fence. makes a good herbicide, too. im sure the EPA would not approve

Considering the sort of germs and shit I can only imagine lurking in your home, I am more liable to trust your opinion on this.

I used to do offset printing for a major supermarket chain in the southeast. This stuff is the shit and Pinesol is also effective. And depending what kind of ink, could be effective there as well, although for ink from a pen, the alcohol way is likely the best.

i start off with a base ink, nero d inferno (italian leather dye) or anythinn i can get then i thicken/darken the mixture with pen ink and then i add all types of chemicals that u wont even be able to destroy... currently experimenting with some laquer stuffs trying to make it so when it dries it will be rock hard and you will need a hammer and chisel to get that stuff off
