Ahhhhh its finally back. GO STEELERS. Hope the Blount-Bell duo works out well, it should. Our Defense is stunted which sucks and feels queer but at least we may be back to having a running game...until half of our O-Line is on the IR by week 2.

Wes weljer gets concussion in preseason, then failed drug test for amps, lol.
-
Lol, Brady sucked ass and showed his age in a bad loss
-
Go Lions! 1-0!! We have a chance to go all the way!!
-
Damn our defense is leaky, can't convert on 3rd down for shit, fuck fuck fuck. Hopefully this shit is sorted out soon and we can hopefully beat Cleveland when that game comes up. Glad Brown is ok I thought for sure that was a concussion hit for sure.

ALso, I head I think it was jim nantz say something like "we're set to play, after the darkest week in nfl history" in reference to the ray rice beat down and about had a heart attack. Are you fucking kidding me? Saying it on the anniversary of 9/11 aside, Theres Pat Tillman getting killed by friendly fire, Aaron Hernandez killing like 10 people, that one dude I think he was an Eagle not sure, killed some bystander while drunk driving. Just off the top of my head and in recent times and apparently Rice punching his wife who was attacking him is darker than all those... Come the fuck on.
-
Well said Haiti. Jim Nance is just another politically correct baboon similar to Bob Costas and Al Michaels. They know very little about the game itself, but are a voice of the dumbing down and softness of our society. Soapboxing whatever agenda is topical, with little regard for history, facts or common sense.
As far as I'm concerned the darkest day in the NFL is when they appointed Rodger Goodell commish. He has done so much to change the game....from altering the draft from 2 days to 4, all the rule changes making it more like flag football every year, to his draconian punishments to things players do on and off the field. This fuckin scurge should have been removed long before Ray Rice ever stepped into that elevator, and I hope this mess finally rids us of this toxic jackass.
As for last night's game, I was really impressed that the Ravens came together after all they've had to endure this week. Not only was it a short week of preparation, but with all the distractions and media talking about non-football related shit....it would have been no surprise if they were on the receiving end of a beatdown instead of giving one like they did. Usually Squeeler/Ravens games are always close, yet they dominated every facet of that game...which is very rare.

This is a good year to not watch football. When that guy (whoever) made the comment about it being the darkest time in football, maybe he was referring to the NFL itself being at fault for exacerbating violence against women. The NFL is responsible for ensuring their employees and the players on individual teams act reasonably professionally, especially considering they're in the entertainment business. They need to get serious about these issues unless they want to continue presenting themselves as chauvinistic, violent morons.
The guy who got caught dog-fighting should have been banned from the league. Knocking out your significant other was a 2 game ban, jeez. What a debacle.

Jim Brown who was arguably the greatest football player who ever lived, threw his old lady off of a balcony once. Nobody gave a fuck then, and nobody gives a fuck now. Not the NFL fans that are actually spending their money and attention on the product. The only people making a stink about this is the media who is seeking ratings, and melodramatic do-gooders trying to get some attention for themselves in this latest "cause".
History and precedence prove it. NFL fans don't give a shit about assaults, or dog fighting, or bounties, or any of that other stuff. And as for expecting the players to have the demeanor of prim and proper citizens as if they are ambassadors or Nobel Peace Prize winners....that is a ridiculous notion. Football IS a violent sport, and the people that play it are wired in a way to live out that violence....modern day warriors in some sense. It is the very essence of putting a line in the sand and daring someone to cross. "You can't do it". "Oh yeah, watch me" Boom....conflict and chaos! It takes a different kind of person to have that mindset and put the sacrifice in to make that happen....and very rarely are they altar boys or perfect gentlemen.

We shouldn't cater to the lowest common denominator.

Hahahaha....this just in, the next NFL scandal.
Adrian Peterson being indicted for child abuse against an 11 year old boy...

Looks like someone from the NFL pissed of someone from TMZ big time.
-
Absolutely gutted at today's games. So many needless penalties. That drop Brown had on the flea flicker... defense giving up big plays at crucial times. Can't convert on 3rd down for shit. Cincy wins AFC North easily.
-
Holy shit is Brady awful. God the guy is older then George Burns corpse and is no way in hell an elite QB anymore

Have to a Bengals fan and VERY glad that they are doing good this year so far! Honestly I do need to watch more games I missed the last one which ended in a tie!
-
I still manage to be a Bronco's fan, despite the humiliating loss to the Seahawks in the last years Superbowl. Then again, I was kinda glad to see the Seahawks put one under their belt.. not as happy as I would have been, had the Broncos won but.. I wasn't overly sore about it.
The Broncos are doing good again this year.. but.. haha.. I'm more skeptic and less vocal about any sort of dominance they might show. Karma is a helluva bitch.

Looks like Peyton is lined up to take Farves career Touchdown record.. I think the number to break is 508, and they play the 49er's come Sunday.

Well, he passed 508+1.. And the season is far from over. I appreciate Mannings skills and talent as a QB, but again.. it's hard not to see him in a Colts jersey. Whats hard for me is I have been a Broncos fan since.. around 96'.. and my dad has always been a Colts fan. So when the best quarterback in Colts history.. maybe even NFL history made the transition... it was hard not to be sour seeing the guy you always routed against now leading your favorite team.. It happens though, and I've come around. I wonder how far he'll push the record before retirement? I actually seen an article the other day on how long it would take other current quarterbacks to get to the current record, and.. could be wrong on this.. the closest would be Drew Breeze, and he would be around 48 or 49 at his current pace. Needless to say, it may be a while before anyone comes close..

Yeah, it must be tough being a Colts fan....going from Peyton Manning to Andrew Luck, huh? ;)
Meanwhile most of the rest of the league continues to search for their "franchise QB" it seems almost every other year....whereas the Colts have at least another decade of studly stability at the helm. As for who has the possibility or breaking Peyton's records some day in the future, of the current crop of QBs, Luck himself is only the legitimate threat considering what he is doing so early in his career.
One thing I always think about when I continue to witness Manning's accomplishments, is the "doubt" people had in regard to his skills adjusting to the NFL just before the 1998 Draft. Its so comical looking back, for weeks (if not months) people were debating whether the first pick should have been Peyton or Ryan Leaf...it was almost a perfect 50/50 argument between experts and fans who would end up being the better QB for the long haul.
And I have no shame in saying, I was one of those that thought Peyton had a noodle arm and Ryan was a better physical talent with much better potential to be a stud in the NFL. Boy, how could anything be further from the truth? For a lot of years, I still didn't believe in Manning, but as a true student of the game I can't do anything now but just sit back with utter awe and admiration for what the guy brings to the table. Granted, the rules have changed a lot and passing IS much easier nowadays, but he truly would transcend any era and be this good no matter what the circumstances.
*genuflects in reverence* To the GREAT Peyton Manning
(this coming from a diehard Phins fan who still believes Marino is GOD!) ;D

Steelers beat the Texans today 30-23!

they just beat the Clots and put up 50+ fucking points! Defense still allowed 34 points but still, fuck yeah! Also watching Gronk Gronk all over that fool was sick. The Detroit-Atlanta game in London was epic. Good day of football!
