Title: I'm having some difficulty quitting drinking
Post by: Ragus on September 04, 2014, 04:04:08 pm
I'm in this stage where I really do wanna stop but its like I cant have that be the last time i drank and i have to drink "one more time" to end it right.  I have a little bit of O.C.D. too.

I think I'm just say fuck it I don't care and not let alcohol and this bullshit dictate any part of me and my though process.  I don't know when or what the first time I drank was, and I'm pretty sure it was shitty, so its not like the last time has to special or pre planned.

do you actually want help or want to quit? I am a hypocrite substance abuse counselor and can teach to dispute or use rational emotive behavioral therapy.

Or you could just try a twelve step program. Best way to go.

the bandaid solution is to switch from one obsession to another.  To help you in your endeavour you should start jacking off, or smoking or eating.

If you don't want that try to keep yourself busy find yourself a hobby like renovating junk, stalking your ex's, or gambling, or something wholesome I can't think of right now.

Keep it up man, quitting drinking I hard! you should empty all the bottles you have right now in the sink

I recommend you commence opiate therapy immediately upon ethanol cessation.

fuck all those 12 step AA fucks unless you graduate to a 13 stepper that realizes it is all bullshit and drink as you please. There is no high power nor are you powerless. You have to want to quit and dispute the reasons you pick u a drink

You are correct about there being no higher power. It's why I stopped going. But they taught me some things about my drinking , and helped me be happy living in my own skin . And they lean on each other , and make friends there.

I would highly recommend start smoking high-grade marijuana, like the Purple Kush or Skunk. It will take the edge off considerably. It will also heal your body's damage at the same time.

Substitute with benzodiazepines and slowly taper over the course of a couple of weeks.
